What's the purpose of barely making the playoffs for a first round exit or not making them at all and getting a later lotto pick? Since the Suns don't have there pick in 2010 they should just tank the rest of the season and try to get somewhere around 23-30 games.

There are alot of good players in this draft who have a chance to fall to the Suns, if they tank that is like James Harden, Earl Clark, Demar Derozan, etc...If the Suns could land a decent lotto pick and draft the BPA (best player available) whether it's a big, forward or guard and they have some youth to build onto the future with.

Maybe also trade both Amare and Nash for some youth and draft picks.

So do you think the Suns should tank? Or just try to win, tell us here.

Lol, I don't think anyone who is a true fan would want their team to lose games on purpose.

No way do we tank, we have too much talent but that talent is not being used properly.

Shaq doesnt get younger, same with Nash, Hill and so on.

Need a coach and/or trade to get the fire back/get pieces to fit. Suns have enough talent, unlike Dallas.

We have Nash, Shaq, Hill, JRich and Amare and you want this team to tank? If we are to trade all these guys then sure, tank it hard, get a high pick and try to make the playoff next year in 2010 to prevent that 2010 #1 pick going into the lottery. But right now, just bring in another coach like Saunders and go from there.

Only way to tank would be to pull a '96 Spurs and shelve all the veteran stars with phony-baloney injuries. Especially Nash. Trot out a starting 5 of Barbosa, J-Rich, Barnes, Amundsen, and Lopez for 30-40 games, and you'll see those ping-pong balls increasing in a hurry.

Shaq would demand a trade and start a mutiny.
