Phoenix Suns
Incoming Players
Rasheed Wallace
Salary: $13,930,000 Years Remaining: 1
PTS: 11.9 REB: 7.5 AST: 1.2 PER: 14.00
Jerryd Bayless
Salary: $1,993,560 Years Remaining: 2
PTS: 4.9 REB: 1.2 AST: 1.0 PER: 9.55
Raef LaFrentz
Salary: $12,722,500 Years Remaining: 1
Steve Blake
Salary: $4,250,000 Years Remaining: 2
PTS: 11.6 REB: 2.3 AST: 4.7 PER: 15.83
Outgoing Players: Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire
You guys get a a couple of solid vets (who can shoot very well) in Blake and Wallace, and your court IQ (and defense) improves dramatically, not really hurting your shot at playoffs this year as they all play at the same pace (fairly slow). You start a ton of vets, but clear a ton of salary, and probably start the rebuild much easier while gaining a nice young asset in Bayless who is local and could really get the fans excited with his nasty dunks.
Portland Trail Blazers
Incoming Players
Steve Nash
Salary: $12,250,000 Years Remaining: 2
PTS: 13.9 REB: 3.3 AST: 9.1 PER: 17.65
DET 1st rounder (lottery protected)
Outgoing Players: Jerryd Bayless, Raef LaFrentz, Steve Blake
We get Nash, gain the experience, he hopefully accelerates the development of our bigs, and gets us deeper in the playoffs the next couple of years. Losing Bayless hurts, but hopefully with our pick and DET's pick we'd be able to get someone fairly decent in the draft as the third (or fourth) guy in the backcourt long-term (after Nash retires or leaves).
Detroit Pistons
Incoming Players
Amare Stoudemire
Salary: $15,070,550 Years Remaining: 3
PTS: 21.0 REB: 8.0 AST: 2.2 PER: 20.87
Outgoing Players: Rasheed Wallace, 1st rounder (lottery protected)
They don't lose anything really in Rasheed (as he will probably leave next year), get a young stud in Amare they only have to commit to for a season and a half as a trial, and shake things up a bit. After AI expires they can retool with Stuckey and Amare.
