The solution... bring Shaq off the bench

I really think that this makes sense. If you start nash, richardson, hill, asmundson and stoudemire. I know some of you are going to say, why would you ever start asmundson? Yes I agree, he is the type of player that necessarily fills the stat sheet with nothing but rebounds but hear me out. We need somebody to be that glue, a la rodman on the bulls... somebody who is completely content with just rebounding and playing some help defense. You still have a potent offensive lineup wit the spacing you need in nash and richardson to shoot the 3's, hill to be the slasher and stoudemire to do his pick and roll work. If you bring shaq off the bench then you only have to play him 20-25 minutes a game. for 15 of those minutes he can be the focal point of the offense. You dump the ball down to shaq the way that porter likes to do and have barnes and barbosa to spread the floor out. Porter gets his way with feeding shaq, shaq gets his way because he is the focal point of the offense albeit second offensive unit and stoudemire gets his wish in getting more touches. The defense and rebounding become a little bit better and I think we have a positive solution.

Except Amare can't guard anyone, and we'd get murdered on the glass/in the post every single game.

I've been saying this for ages. No need to start neither Shaq nor Nash against EVERY team. Sheeeeeesh!

Our problem isn't starting games. How many times have we watched the Suns go up by double digits just to even out by the end of the quarter. I do agree that Shaq should be more of role player on offense as opposed to option numero uno. However, give the guy credit he's been doing great this season. The real problem is that TP doesn't know how to manage his rotations the accomidate both Shaq and Stat. Stat needs to be the main scoring option and your right if Shaq played with the second unit he would obviously be the go to guy.

Probably the worst idea ever.
You think Shaq would even bother showing up? He would instantly retire.

Benching Shaq while he's having his best season in years but be a bit*h slap to the face. Idk about you guys but I would hate to have the job of telling him if that ever went down
p.s ( starwars smily completly irrelevent but none the less awesome!)

The Solution................Fire Porter and/or Kerr today!! Shaq will never come off the bench, he'll rather be traded then be a bench player. The guy still has plenty left in the tank.

I would easily take Marcus Camby over Shaq, would be a really nice fit.

I roll with this lineup all the time in 2k9, so I think it could work. Bring Shaq off the bench!!!

no way Shaq was just voted an all star reserve. No reason to make him a reserve on the suns too.

Amare would get destroyed on the defensive end and on the glass. Plus he would have 3 fouls before Shaq even got off the bench.
