Don't Just Trade One, Trade Both

Post#1 » by sunsfan1 » Thu Feb 5, 2009 9:12 pm

I think that both Nash and Amare need to go but Nash needs to goes before Amare. I think that all of these trades are somewhat realistic. The only ones I'm not sure on, are the Oden trades. I think that if you did any two of these trades, hopefully one invoving a point gaurd this team would be on the right track for the future.

Options for trading Amare
1A) Amare to Chicago for Kirk Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas and Sefolosha.

2A) Amare to Philly for Elton Brand and a fist round pick

3A) Amare to New Jersey for Bobby Simmons(Expiring Contract), Yi Jianlian, and either a 1st round pick, Sean Williams, Josh Boone or Chris Douglas-Roberts

4A) Amare to Portland for Jerryd Bayless, Martell Webster and Raef Lafentz (EC).

5A) Amare and Barbosa to Portland for , Jerryd Bayless, Greg Oden and Raef LaFrentz (EC)

6A) Amare and Barbosa to Portland for Sergio Rodriguez, Martell Webster, Greg Oden and Raef LaFrentz(EC)

Trades for Nash
1N) Nash to Orlando for Courtney Lee, Mickael Pietrus, and Brian Cook.

2N) Nash and Barbosa to Toronto for O'neal(EC) and a first round pick.

3N) Nash to Portland for Sergio Rodriguez, Raef LaFrentz(EC) and a future first round pick.

4N) Nash to Portland for Sergio Rodriguez, Martell Webster and Joel Przybilla.

5N) Nash to Portland for Jerryd Bayless and Raef LaFrentz(EC).

6N) Nash to New York for Malik Rose(EC), Jerome James(EC) and this years first round pick and a future first rounder.

7N) Nash and Barbosa to New York for Marbury(EC) and this years first round pick and a future first rounder.

8N) Nash to Milwaukee for Ridnour, Francisco Elson(EC), Joe Alexander and a future first round pick.

Oh, cuz trading Marion, Raja, Boris, and Amare is not enough of a shakeup for you?

No Nash trades. He is the glue that holds this team together. Without him we will COMPLETly tank.

i agree though, nash has opened his mouth alittle too much this season but its all true, and i respect him too much to see him traded.

You can count Portland out on all trades. They know that Amare is a knuckle head and selfish. He would never fit with Roy, and no, the answer would not be to trade Roy for him.

Nash is a great PG in an up tempo system. He needs to be traded to NY, not Portland. Our pace is slower than yours still. Add in his age and despite the fact he probably does have 3-4 years left in him, it would not be a good fit in Portland.

Portland best bet is to continue to groom Bayless as the PG, Batum as the SF and Oden as the center of the future. Patience and experience is what Portland really needs.

I think your best option for Amare is a Chicago trade. You could have any one on that roster not named Rose. A good option for Nash is any up tempo system. NY and GS are the most obvious.

Thank you for that comment... I am going to take that as gospel as I am repulsed by any thought of Amare on Portland... jeezus, we have helped you guys out enough.

I think Nash stays till draft day...then its anyone's guess, and I'd bet, if he had his druthers, its off to NY with a sign and trade...

Lol all these trades make no sense at all for us other than the Hinrich one, and in that case, I'd just ask to add in NY and get Noah + Nate + Harrington aswell... (noah instead of Thomas) (we give up Nash too)

Its hard to imagine this 'Amare-less' team making any threats come post season....regardless of who Stat brings in, especially with Porter coaching.

We would still be a bottom seeder. And have to knock off the likes of LA, San Ant, Utah, NO...etc...all organizations who have their S**t together.

So the question really is what is the over all purpose/goal here ? By Kerr-laid Jo saying A N Y O N E is availabe 'cept Nash, is he soliciting other offers ? Perhaps for a complete blow up the roster manuver ? I wouldn't object to the above deal though I despise both Nate and Noah's 'nuevo 'tudes. Modify it to remove those chumps and send Nash on his merry way. Just somewheres find a decent PG.

PS...dam.... Eddie House is on Fiya... watchn Bos/LA just makes it more apparent how far we have fallen
