Bickley RIPS Amar'e

From Dan Bickley (Not Coro):

Ever see Stoudemire's hands? They're enormous. They are made for rebounding. They are made for playing defense and blocking shots. But at this stage of his career, Stoudemire's growth mostly takes place in vanity related areas. And on a night when the Warriors throttled the lifeless Suns, Arizona Republic writer Paul Coro also explained how Stoudemire had merged his music label (Hypocalypto Entertainment) with his sports and entertainment management company (Above Currency Management), and they will now fall under the umbrella company of Grand Hustle Entertainment.

He's had four management teams in his career. He's spelled his first name three different ways since joining the Suns, and wore two different numbers.

Diva? Maybe.

Disappointing? Definitely.

First-team All Star? Not a chance.

Amare is aggravating...

EDIT: I've got a fourth spelling for his first name... W-A-S-T-E (as in, "of our time")

Not sure why that's funny, Grand Hustle is a HUGE label ran by Tip Harris a.k.a. T.I.

Regrettable words. He will be great on another team. It will be a sad day to trade someone that has meant so much to this organization. And to be pushed out the door by the fans makes me ashamed to be a Suns fan.

I understand the frustration with STAT.

I thought/mentioned at the beginning of this yr, our success was hiinged upon the progression of Barbososo and Amare. Both players' importance to this team was elevated in areas where they had not excelled...ie Barbs w/pg. Stat w/defense+rebounding.

Barbs atleast had the humbleness to put his head down (hmm no pun intended) and quietly work on his game...and it seems he has improved defensively atleast...

While StandingTallAndTalkative had to boldly blurt his desire and focus was to be ARTEST-like...wanted to be more Labron-ish...Kobe-escent...then he quietly, sulkingly, and comfortably slipped into his new role as part time dominator.

Now I know there are many other factors in play here... but the lack of intensity our resident primadonna has displayed has soured his status, AND lowered his value.

We are faced with dealing a would-be superstar (or should I say, Fallen) who has grown tired of his scenario, one who will likely seek a new employer in 2 yrs anyway, who could be considered damaged goods (microknee), who has had glaring weaknesses exposed, who really needs a tailored supporting cast and system....

which, I believe is leading to bend-over-cheek-greasing offers common to Kerr-veball and Sarver....

and this, my fan based friends, is how we are to begin the next chapter

You don't see the lazy and apathetic Amar'e being associated with a label called Grand HUSTLE as being funny and ironic?

Amare is probably going to be great on another team. I'm not sure he's ever gonna be great in our team though.

Still, it's sad that Kerr prefers to trade him instead of firing Porter and trying to see wether Amare's play improves under another coach.
