Looks like the Suns are looking to trade Shaq also.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3890478

NBA front-office sources told ESPN.com that the Suns on Friday entered into preliminary discussions with numerous teams on possible trade scenarios, mostly featuring All-Star forward Amare Stoudemire but also a few involving O'Neal as the franchise embarks on a potentially radical makeover just 12 months removed from O'Neal's arrival on Feb. 6, 2008.

ESPN.com's Chad Ford reported Friday night that, according to one rival GM, Phoenix hopes to clear up to $40 million from its 2009-10 payroll before the trading deadline.

He isn't gong to clear no 35-40 million before the deadline. I don't see anyone biting on Amare and the only team remotely a candidate for Shaq is the Lakers and they aren't going to bite.

I see Sarver moving LB for a expiring and that will be the end of his trade options.

If Sarver was smart he let Porter go, eat his contract and let Dan coach who might use less of Shaq and when he does use him keep him out of the post on offense.

guys whats new news about this? Kerr has already said EVERYONE but Nash is possibly moveable.. there is nothing new hear, unofficially they are all on the trading block but i couldnt agree more with Mr. Sun, no one is getting traded unless some miraculous deal shows u.

but i do hate that LB is the most likely, he has been doing well off the bench on a consistent basis now. so idk but this is not new news.

Hey $arver,

Thanks for buying MY fandom for $400 million. I wish I could abuse you as badly as you've abused my loyalty by dumping all our valuable assets for $$$ to your f**king bank.

Screw you.

Sincerely

This is just sad.

We're going to end up salary dumping both Shaq AND Amare. How pathetic...

Fulfills Sarver's requirements. Salary dumps Shaq, but hey, at least we get flipping Beasley out of it.

Nash
Rich
Hill
Matrix
Somebody(Lopez, Haslem, Amundson)

w/ Beasley, Barbosa, Barnes off the bench. KILLER BEES!

Edited: had the wrong link

The trade that you linked to shows me just Shaq for Matrix which wouldn't work for Mia. Whether or not Mia wants him back this would put them in the lux which our owner will not do, well probably not unless it's a really good deal on Mia's end.

I don't know how anyone can think a team wouldn't want Amare. This guy's not Derrick Coleman - yet. He has the skills and the ability to be a top 3 player, all he needs is the ball and the right motivator (whether that exists is debateable)...personally I think the only person he'd listen to is Jesus himself.

EVERY commentator I've heard so far has said it's going to be a mistake trading Amare...

Shaq for Kidd I don't mind if we keep Amare and don't waive Kidd like Chad freaking Ford says we would. Nash/Kidd have played in the same lineup before, but the only way this would work is if we ran like crazy.

Or we could basically just split their minutes, like 20 each alone, and 8 combined on the court together. Haha.

I wouldn't mind splitting their minutes, but I think it would be doing a disservice to both players and the team itself, since we could use both of them playing major minutes.

The Sonics paid Patrick Ewing 20 mil for a single season. So why not the Thunder?

I think the Thunder could trade

Chris Wilcox 6.75mil expiring
Joe Smith 4.8mil expiring
Desmond Mason 5.3mil expiring
Robert Swift 3.7mil expiring.
Totals 20.55mil expiring

For Shaq 20mil for one more year.

Thunders line up
Pg Westbrook, Watson, Atkins
SG lottery pick, Weaver
SF Durant, Wilkins
PF Green, Collison, DJ White
C Shaq, Kristic

To me that's a playoff team

As much as I hate the Thunders owner, this would be a great PR stunt to do. Give the NBA fans of OKC a chance to see one of the best centers of all time for an entire year and a half. I seriously doubt they could re-sign Shaq but they would have 20mil for the 2010 free agent bonanza.

Phoenix can see if a front court of Amare and Wilcox would work. Plus Joe Smith if released should have a chance to be picked up so Phoenix wouldn't have to swallow all of his salary but the'd have to eat Mason(injured) and Swift(bust).

Plus for 20mil Shaq should be willing to wear a cowboy hat and spurs on the back of his sneakers while he is playing.

If you want to could swap Swift for Sene.

PHX would do it, although I don't know if Shaq would even show up. You guys would probably have to buy him out then....

Terry's out w/ a broken hand, so no more Shaq for Kidd speculation.
