Lol, Porter comes in and the team completely loses chemistry

But it's Amare's fault? Amare is the reason the team hates the coach? Please, for the love of Christ, Kerr please fire Porter. Because of Porter the Suns are likely going to trade away all their young talent for cap relief, all because Porter came in and thought he'd make the team better by going away from their strengths. Fire Porter, promote either Majerle or Gentry to head coach, and let the team go back to running and gunning all day long. We won't be a contender, but at least the players will enjoy freedom and maybe Amare will stay because of this.

I first second third, whatever that. PORTER needs to go. KERR needs to grown his brain size. Does watering it help?

Then give Kerr a frickin' beer! We may get better via a trade or a sacking if good ol' Steve is TUI or SUI.

Porter has just made one mistake after another since he took over.
First he took Grant Hill out of the starting lineup and it took a little while before he admitted that mistake and benched Barnes.
Then he tried to make the team a really slow half court group. Eventually he admitted some failure in that area too by letting Steve have more freedom to run the offense but not before Diaw and Bell were traded away in a panic move by the front office.
He also immediately went away from Mike D's proven and successful use of Amare and Shaq on court at the same time and ended up marginalising Amare. Now instead of going back to how Mike did it, Amare will most likely be traded and maybe Shaq too.
Kerr and Sarver too have also made one mistake after another...the worst of which has probably been Porter and they won't admit to that mistake by firing him.
The amount of what-if's on this team has gotten ridiculous. This team could still be a title contender even without Mike D or Matrix. Sadly it's now all on the verge of changing and yet again for the wrong reasons.
Porter needs to go before anymore trades are made. Sadly Kerr/Sarver will add to their growing list of mistakes by keeping Porter on board instead.

Whether it's "fair" or not - can you thin of any other instance in the NBA where a new coach comes in to a perennial 50+ win team and by all-star break they are barely .500, and the coach *isn't* fired?
I just don't think it would happen.
Kerr is going to have real trouble explaining himself if Porter doesn't get the axe

Wasn't Carlisle fired from both IND and DET like that? I can't be bothered looking them up...

The reason Porter isn't fired is very simple really, he is the mouthpiece of Kerr who just does as he is told or so it seems.
It was blatantly clear in the GS game how Shaq hurts the team flow, we build a lead then Shaq comes in lead dissapears, Shaq leaves and we build the lead again.
Shaq is good coming off the bench when Steve is not in there and also in certain matchups but we should not be dumping it down low to him the majority of the time. I hope Porter understands this!

Yeah, I second Garrick. Kerr is using Porter to coach the team because he knows he won't have the job security if he moves down to coaching himself.

not a single coach who came in this year was going to be liked
if they won it was "they inherited a great team"
if they lost it was "they ruined a great team"
this coach was always going to be a "rebound girl" just passing the time

no chemistry between players and no chemistry between Porter and players. Almost every player has publicly critized Porter and he's still the coach. No one has respect for this guy. What a disgrace.

I think with Indiana, Porter deserves to be fired hes come in and made the suns into a confused team. This team is clearly is not focusing on there strengths which Mike D did and Porter didn't. Only if Kerr was able to trade Amare for KG when he had the chance.
Indiana struggled and he was fired during the season. Fired after the season by Detroit, because they lost in the eastern conference finals to the nets in favor of Larry Brown who helped them win a title in 04. That could have been Rick Carlisle, I don't think he deserved to get fired in Detroit after the good season he had.
