Current West standings

Entering the All Star weekend we are currently out of the playoff picture. Three great news: 1. we are currently only 3.5 games out of the 4th seed, 2. all signs point that Terry Porter has been fired pending official announcement, and 3. Any trades are now unlikely meaning we don't have to start all over, just have to start winning games with our new coach. A new coach can bring a new winning attitude, a better style of play, can bring chemistry between coach and players (TP had none), can motivate our players to go on a tear in the second half of the season. We are healthy and the pieces are in place players-wise only need a new coach to take us to the next level. That 4th seed is within sight...... can we make a run at it?

Lol yeah, because he expects us to take on Luol's ridiculous contract, and "dump" Amar'e and Nash for basically Hinrich. In your dream buds. Maybe if Thomas/Noah + picks were involved. Why would you want Nash in the first place?

Nash is untouchable. The only player in the roster that cannot be traded.

Off topic btw.

Now back to topic.

I think the coaching change is going to motivate the players because the organization is actually showing them how much trust they have on them. They trust their players enough to trade the coach to try to make a good run to the title.

im hoping that we eventually end up at 5 which is possible given that we are only 4 games behind houston and i expect them to slide down in the standing. the best scenario is, we finish at 5 and portland at 4. that would be an easier first round compared to a match up with the lakers or the spurs. i think we can beat the nuggets too but i dont want to face the spurs in the second round and i want the spurs to slug it out with the dallas in the 1st round. im pretty sure that the lakers will end up at 1 and the spurs at 2.

well, we need luck to win in the playoffs, from the matchup, to injuries of the other teams and so on.... but we'll never know, may be after firing porter, we'll be a different team.

-- Coud lgo either way, I suppose. Re-enegized, new lease on life Suns gointo overdrive and put it all together under a new guy

or

just so damn weary from all the crap and turmoil they sneak in and get killed in the first round

I think it's 50-50

But it's 100 per cent certainty we die the death if Porter stays, unless he just sits on the bench and does crossword puzzles or something and isn't allowed to talk to the players.
