Latest ESPN Buzz on Porter and Amare

Post#1 » by Mr. Sun » Sat Feb 14, 2009 3:31 am

Amare Stoudemire is not the only prominent employee of the Phoenix Suns facing an uncertain future.

The future of Suns coach Terry Porter was generating just as many questions Friday when this supposed party weekend began in the expected uncomfortable manner for the beleaguered hosts of the NBA All-Star Game.

Talk shows in Phoenix have been buzzing since the Suns' loss in Cleveland on Wednesday with the growing belief that Porter will no longer be coaching the team when the Suns reconvene for practice Monday to prepare for the final 31 games of his first season.

Suns owner Robert Sarver insisted otherwise in an e-mail to ESPN.com, saying: "We have not made that decision."

Sarver, though, did add that "obviously we need to improve and are evaluating everything."

Hey Mr Sun can you please edit the article and provide a link as per RealGM rules...cheers

Very interesting read, albeit most of it is just a collaboration of old info put together by some schmo at ESPN...

I could swear I added it, don't know where it went. I'll find it.

I have a question for SDU and Dbdynsty which I asked in another thread and will ask again in this thread...

1) What's the latest you've heard about Porter's firing after Kerr and Sarver denied it? If he was going to be fired or has already been fired, I don't think they would have denied it.

I think they're keeping him.

What are you guys hearing about his situation? Is he gone before Monday?

What makes you think youre special enough to get information from them they havent already divulged? Are you that delusional and in love with yourself? Is it only-child syndrome? You're an only child arent you...

Never-mind; SDU answered my question in the other thread. I thought he missed my question on one of the previous pages, but he eventually answered it.

Hopefully Dbdynsty has an update for us, as well.

Thanks.
