Shaq would welcome a trade to NY.

Let's give him his wish. I love the dude, but frankly, I don't think we can be "good" defensively with him here. What we need is a mobile big that can defend the pick and roll, where we get killed day in and day out because of Nash's horrible decision making on defense and slowed lateral movement, and Shaq isn't that at ALL. Having him sit in the paint and Nash get hit by screens allows for 1 of many situations, which all include us getting scored on.
IE:
1) Nash goes under the screen, ball-handler can shoot or drive.
2) Nash goes over, ball handler can drive or give to the Popper.
3) Big rolls to the basket and Shaq is forced to foul.
A 3-Way deal with NY / NO / PHX, I think, works for ALL three teams. As a New Orleans lover, I know this would hurt the team a lot, but the ownership is DESPERATELY looking to make a move to dump some cap, and this is possibly one where they may be able to contend a bit still.

Phoenix's side: Give Shaq + Dudley for Chandler, Nate, Q-Rich.
New York's side: Give Nate + Q-Rich + Malik Rose + Tim Thomas for Shaq + Dudley (maybe a pick from Phx, probably Charlotte's second?)
New Orleans' side: Tyson for Tim and Rose.
It probably looks very stupid on New Orleans' part, but they've been thinking of trading Tyson for a bag of chips because they need the cap relief, and frankly, if Tim + Rose doesn't work, I don't think its a bad idea for them to try out Eddy Curry. Yes, I said that. He was putting up like 15-9 earlier when he was getting 28-29MPG, which means hes not that bad a baller, and he shaves off about 12mil off their books, which is darn good if your in economic troubles.
For Phoenix, it's clear we'd do this for 2 reasons. Chandler will ACTUALLY bring us what we needed from SHAQ (this is not a knock on SHAQ in any manner, but we brought him in for defense, and clearly that aspect hasn't worked), and he's a good shot blocker + mobile big. Q-Rich makes Leandro / J-Rich expendable (probably Leandro for a backup big... Drew Gooden type), and Nate provides a PERFECT backup for NASH.
From New Yorks prespective, if they have any interest in SHAQ, which they might (they need size and D'Antoni knows how to use SHAQ well in his system), this gets them Shaq at practically no expense, gets rid of Nate's cap hold, and they get a young prospect who just needs a chance to give some production.
Maybe follow-up such a deal with J-Rich for Collison + Wilcox (and I'm 99% sure that OKC has no problem with that deal).
Suns:
Nash/Nate
Q-Rich/Leandro
Hill/Barnes
STAT/Collison/Lou
Tyson/Wilcox/lou
Much, MUCH better bench, more ready to be SSOL, and we save some money aswell. (Wilcox expires after this season, Nate too, Q-Rich in 2010, although Collison and Tyson go to 2011).
IE:
1) Nash goes under the screen, ball-handler can shoot or drive.
2) Nash goes over, ball handler can drive or give to the Popper.
