This late in his career I hope this doesnt end his run ala Penny Hardaway. Tough day for Rocks fans.

That's sad, I doubt he can come back all the way like Amare because he has a balky back and he is much older.
This guy when healthy is one of the most exciting players around and it sucks he is beset by so many injuries.

If insurance is paying all of his 2009 salary, trade him for our draft pick and let the training staff use their magic ointment on him.

C'mon Kerr!

The playoff door is wide open for the Suns.
No Tmac, Rockets will probably miss the playoff.

i don't think they'll miss the playoffs. But I do see a 1st round exit.

And TMac's presence would result in a different scenario...?

Tough break, pardon the pun. Not unexpected for anyone watching him move anywhere at all this year, he's looked so older and broken... Ah well, maybe he'll bounce back in the second half next year.

Note that if he has microfracture surgery now, he's gone for a year and won't be 100% in his first year back, so he's slated to miss another chunk of this season and then most of next season. If he waits until the off-season, he's gone ALL of next year and won't be waiting on a max contract when he comes back, that's for sure.

I'm almost certain he will be a Penny Hardaway, sadly. Man, I remember watching those 60 point games in Orlando.

And you know what, the sad thing is TMac will be remembered maybe even more for what he never accomplished, than for how explosive of a superstar he once was.

Yeah, but Penny only had like 4 good seasons before he went down; T-Mac, on the other hand, had a much longer and more productive career (statistically, anyhow).

He should pull a Grant Hill by signing w/ us on a dirt cheap contract once his current contract is up, leading to a career revival.
