http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... ba_return/I don't know what the guy has left. He's 38 and hasn't played in four years.
But I loved the guy when he was in Utah. Solid all-around game, good hustle, and good lockerroom guy.
Defense was also his thing, which this team needs.

I'd rather have Thunder Dan suit up.

We can give him a 10 day but I don't think he has anything left. I've seen guys come back at 34-35 and struggle, let alone 38 and left for 4 years. Game has changed quite a bit, it will take him a while just to get acclimated again.

I knew someone would make a brand new thread out of this. The guy is 38, I'm sure there are defensive guys much younger in the D-league who could do the same thing, why are we wasting time on a 38 year old?
Keep in mind, if Sarver is likely to only give out one more contract if any at all. Do we want our last contract we give to sure up our bench to be a 38 year old who used to play great D?

If we go to D-League I would stay with Sims or get Dupree. And if J-Will doesn't return the get Ahern for another PG.

Hahahha...I might actually choose Bill Russell over him. Wouldn't be a bad idea to hire an nba legend to be a player coach. Kareem, Moses Malone etc.. were hired as big man coaches.

I rather pick up a solid D-leaguer. 4 yrs removed from bball is too long, too late for a comeback.

Board Member 2: This guy here is dead.
Rachel Phelps: Cross him off then.
Byron Russell in a nutshell
