Shaq is great but is making me mad

This guy needs to just shut his mouth when it comes to talking about touches.

He has been the best player in a Suns uniform this season and I fully support the Shaq/Marion trade. I am just sick of seeing quotes from him about how he can do blah blah if he gets the touches.

With Amare out he will get the touches in the half court game. No need to make it an issue to the press. The team is best suited for running and he needs to understand this. He won't be 20 for 25 or whatever he was last night every game.

This team is cursed and it hurts. I just had to find something to complain about so I thought of this. At least I'm honest! :P

If it is true that Amare is out for the playoffs as well, then I might as well start rooting for Portland this year and hope to god we extend Amare in the offseason.

i feel the same way sunswin, amare + shaq should be the best damn frontcourt in the game or at least among the best but amare kept crying shaq is in the way blabla and shaq with his annoying i can do this everynight if u give me the ball crap. thats just dumb. shaq should know that he cant win every game on his own.
i really think if teach of 'em granted the other one his points and glory or whatever instead of being envious and crying about the other's touches, they could be an unstoppable c-pf-combo.

I am also sick of Shaq constantly saying he needs touches; has he forgotten how much the team has underachieved this year because of all the touches he got?

Running the offense through him as the rest of the team stands around and watches is the main reason the team has underachieved so much.

If they played up-tempo from the beginning, this team would have a much better record and Diaw and Bell would still be in Phoenix.

However, Terry Porter deserves most of the blame for this season.

The press loves shaq's big mouth.

Shaq is the only winner on this team, as far as I'm concerned he can do and say what ever he wants. He has four championship rings and a legacy of going down as one of the top 50 greatest players in NBA history to back it up.

Honestly, I belive what Shaq's saying. I don't think many of you are used to it, but he always say something like this to the media. He's not ragging on the team or anything he's just saying that if he gets touches he can be effective. If we get Shaq 12-16 shots a game he'll be able to produce. With the way we are playing offense [more possessions] then giving Shaq the ball downlow won't be as bad as when we used to always dump it to him when Porter was calling the shots.

We have to be a hybrid team of running and shaqing, if you guys think we can continue running the way we did when Bell, Diaw, Marion and younger Nash was still in town you are fooling yourselfs. The best chance of being successful in the playoffs is if we develop a hybrid team that can run 75% of the time and shaqtus it 25% of the time. Basically, 50% running, 25% nash PnR or him handling the ball at least and then another 25% shaqtus time.

True.
It's a luxary to have your best weapon as a reserve to fall back on in dire need. Shaq can't sustain the energy level and shooting like he did to Raps against teams with adequate bigman defenders. Thus, it's better to use it as close sec. option than the primary weapon, for the team's sake.

shaq is playing great, but to me it's obvious he can't dominate the post every night like against toronto. when he gets fouled more and/or the opponent big men play better D it's stupid to try to let him shoot the ball 20+ times a night when we have LB, Nash, Grant and Richardson who can contribute.

It's great to have him on our team, but he can't win every game for us and should know better than to say i need more touches over and over again. when he's open or not double teamed, let him do his thing and use his size advantage and make us fans happy but he clearly isnt our messiah. hes a valuable PART of our team and thats the way he should be used imho
