Piece together a roster from the SSOL era

Put together a roster of any players that played with the suns from 04-09.

Nash
Stoudemire
Marion
JJ
Bell

Barbosa
Diaw
Thomas
House
Hill

Really good 10 man rotation and pleasing to think about. Joe Johnson is big enough to make the transition to SF easily and that lineup would be insane. Also several ball handlers off the bench in addition to Joe Johnson and Steve Nash.

C-Robin Lopez/Pat Burke/Shawn Marks
PF-Lou Amundson/Brian Grant/Magic Lampe
SF-Jared Dudley/Jim Jackson
SG-Alando Tucker/Eric Piatowski
PG-Goran Dragic/Yuta Tabuse/Marcus Banks

that would be a killer SSOL lineup which is what the tread is all about but we got barely an D on that lineup too... thats the biggest problem with this team.

We don't need D with that line up. They'll be able to play enough d to win games anyways. But take Rondo out, I hate his overrated ass.

all those teams need D'Ant as the coach!

Starters Nash, JJ, Marion, stat, KT.

Bench barbs, Bell, Hill, TT, Skinner.

House, hunter, and. amudson

Wit some games movin stat to 5 matrix to 4 JJ 3 and add bell at 2. Against the golden state teams...

Fine my 14th player would be Shaq just to use him against the bigger bruiser teams (wolves). Lol.

Head coach, dantoni minus stubborness (so he plays his bench and more defense)

Assistants:thibodeau(Celtics assistant), lavaroni, and gentry

What's the All-Fail roster?

Define 'fail'...do you mean bad signings/trades/underperformers, or scrubs?

Dragic/Knight
Jacobsen/Almost put Penny here....but he played well when healthy
Diaw post new contract/Tucker (great guy, but not a first round pick)
Googs/MBennett (he should have been better)
Longley/Jake T

I dunno...there's so many I can't think straight...

Googs, you mean after he got hurt?

traded to the Jazz with a 1st rounder for Keon Clark and Ben Handlogten (wikipedia)

I had to look that up - there are huge gaps in my NBA memory as I go through phases where I just burn out and lose interest. My Suns years are Connie and Van Arsdale's, Neal Walk, then the KJ years,
then when they drafted Nash, being my hometown guy.
When PHX ended up with a guy I was a fan of, like Goodrich, I paid more attention. This was all back in the day when you could only see a few games a year outside the playoffs.
I was Sonics fan for decades as they were the only team close to Vancouver and I could sometimes get down there to see a game.
Then the Grizzlies, an experience I still can't bear to really talk about

Old Sonics were the good times man. God, the Grizzlies experience was disastrous... As a Canadian, I was embarrassed.

Hmmm...

Kurt Thomas / Stephen Hunter
Boris Diaw / Stromile Swift / Louis Amundson
Shawn Marion / Grant Hill
Joe Johnson / Raja Bell
Steve Nash / Rajon Rondo / Sergio Rodriguez

I think that would be a fairly interesting lineup.

You've got a good finishing option on the PnR, you've got some high post options (and no Amare = proven WCFs-capable team), you've got defense from KT, Diaw (sometimes) and Marion (at his own damned position), and even JJ and Hill, also from Rondo and Bell.

You've got a ton of shooters and you've got more than one guy who can create off the bounce, multiple ball-handlers...
