article linkAmaré said during last night's game that he's going to be wearing goggles from now on. Stromile should consider it too. Stromile has missed games in the past due to corneal abrasions from his contact lenses. While he was in Houston he missed a lot of time because one of his eyes got infected.
From the article, this tidbit made me smile:
Stoudemire had expected to thrive with the firing of coach Terry Porter and the promotion of Alvin Gentry, who returned the team to the high-speed style that suits the big, swift forward at his best. But he lasted only two games under Gentry before the injury.
Amaré isn't the only big, SWIFT forward on the team. I'm getting more and more excited to think of seeing Stromile and Amaré as teammates next season.

yo rag, did you cream youre pants last night??? nice game from stro.
well, let both be the master of goggles - if we´ll resign him we would have a very, very strong and deep front court -
shaq / stro / lou
ama´re / lou / stro..
sounds good to me, with or without goggles..

Great to see Stromile playing so much. The team did great with him and Lou in there giving the Suns some D. Big run in the second half!
I really liked how coach Gentry let him stay on the court for so long. He was playing well and helped the Suns break the game open and run away with it. That's vital for Stromile to get his rhythm going. He had great numbers but it would have been even better if he had made more shots but he hasn't gotten into a really good rhythm yet.
Hopefully there's more to come and it wasn't a one-time thing
!!

yah. like i said in another thread, i hope to see him against denver, cause i don´t think that matt can match up against kenyon. and i also think that stro can do good alongside shaq.
let´s see what happens.

The doctor said that goggles would not have prevented this most recent injury. It was cumulative, not just the shot he took in the last game. Still, if I'd had even one eye injury I think I'd be wearing them

Would be fun to have two incredibly athletic big men wearing goggles on the same team.
