I want Grant Hill retiring as a Phoenix Sun

Post#1 » by Inconspicuous » Thu Mar 26, 2009 5:40 am

Man, I love this guy. So committed to the team despite being horribly underpaid and not as appreciated by the media. He comes to play every night, NEVER complains, and does everything and more we've asked of him. Not only that, he's still fearless as a 36 year old with a history of injuries, this guy definitely is one of the toughest players in the league and I hope he retires as a Suns player, what a class act.

I hate his shot. If we wouldn't shoot as much maybe I'd like him. Also, on a 4 to 1, don't run into the only guy down the court on cause a charge!!!!!!!!

But 4real very cool guy. Under appreaciated, even by me.

Who doesn't love a player that's 37 years old but plays like he's 26. :D

wat?

He has a solid shot, and his form is pretty good. I dunno what you don't like about his shot.

*anyways, the thing I like the most about Grant Hill is that he just loves to play basketball. He's underpaid, and underappreciated but it doesn't matter to him because he loves the game so much. Hes also very thankful that the Suns trainers have been helping him actually stay on the court without any major injuries.

37 and yet takes charges better than 99% of the league, and he doesnt flop on those, those are some true hits he takes. and the reckless attacking of the rim is crazy

Something about him makes me squinch everytime he touches the ball. He tries to do too much when it's not needed at times. He reminds me of Barbosa with his shot selection. Both great players but the only person that should touch the ball is NASH. And when he's out, give the ball to the big cactus.

How can you hate Hill's shot? Maybe from long range, but close and midrange, his jumpers are very consistent. Regardless, there's not much we can do to control the outcome of where he plays his last year(s). There's no guarantee, unless we can build a contending team over the summer.

Yeah I'm kinda sitting on the fence. I'd like him to retire as a Sun but I really want him to finally win, because he's gone through so much and had so much promise, if anyone deserves a championship it's him.

Who knows, maybe he'll win a championship with us and retire. Win-win

he'll be going to a contender next year. he should get a nice 1 or 2 year contract. what contender wouldn't love having GHill? the guy is playing his best ball in like 10 years.

It's scary to think how good Grant Hill could have been had he not had the horrendous injury issues. This guy was absolutely insane when he was with the Pistons, it's a really sad thing he's had to deal with.

I really want him to re-sign with us; if he signs w/ LA or San Antonio I'll be pretty sad.

Hill has actually made it pretty clear that he wants to finish his career as a member of the suns.

He's playing crazy good for a guy his age....One thing bugged me last night though
Twice he had 2 on 1 chances where Stro was WIDE open underneath, and he ignored him both times...And I know Stro isn't always paying attention/doesn't always catch what's thrown to him - but both times he had his hands open and was asking for the ball...

Still...Hill FTW

It was funny last night when Hill put that spin move on the Jazz defender and a couple possessions later Barnes copied it.

Hill is a stud and has been a constant professional his whole career. I love that he always brings it and is a team player. It would be nice for him to retire a sun, but I don't want him to. Why? because the guy deserves better than this and needs to go to a contender. He came here to win a championship and it has been nothing but downhill since. Sucks, but I wish the guy can get past the 1st rd for once.
Sorry, the blazers are not a contender. Maybe in 2-3 years.

He would be Lebronesque. No doubt about it. Actually if Hill had not been injured we would be saying that LeBron is Hill-esque.

Anyway even now after all his injuries Hill is still a joy to watch. I love how he plays basketball.
