I don't want to start any controversy since alot of people consider me a Nash hater but this is a serious question, do you guys think it's time for the Suns to cut ties with Steve Nash? Whether it be trading him to another team or not picking up his option? What do you guys think is the best scenario on how look at the Nash situation this summer?

I'm a die hard Nash fan so I might not be the best person to answer this cos I want him to retire as a Sun.

That said, I think if Amare comes back 100% and the Suns intend to keep him, then they have to keep Nash too cos their p 'n r is still one of the best offensive weapons in the league.

Dragic has shown some genuine improvement over the last month or so and there have even been flashes where he looks like he has potential to one day run the show on his own - so another good reason to keep Nash is so he can mentor Dragic.

Even if the Suns make playoff next season, San Antonio's defense will be saying "Hi", again.
Suns need a new tone of voice.

steve nash i still an elite pg in this league - but if we can find a run and gun pg who plays a little defense i´m all for a trade - since that will not happen we should keep him

How about the "other" Steve, Steve Francis?
Back in the older days when he was under Rudy T, he used to be a run-and-gun.
He is definitely a bigger stronger defender than Nash.

Cut ties with Shaq. He is a major liability with his lack of aggressiveness and quickness. Re-do Nash's contract over the summer.

Hmmm...let's compare. 2 time MVP (Nash) vs 100 time loser (Francis)

In all seriousness, almost the entire league would love a guy like Steve to run the show. I can't fathyom why you would want him gone. Your GM and owner are weak and almost traded Amare mid-season as well as moving Marion for Shaq and trading away to big parts of those Western powerhouse teams in Bell and Diaw.

I'd have to agree with you here. Moving Nash for someone who plays a little better defense is like moving D'Antoni for Porter. You lose your entire offensive game and your rebounds gets a little better but not enough to make a difference. Unless we get a deal that involves talented youths and picks, or a PG by the name of, CP3, D.Williams or Billups.

Trade Nash for Paul.

Trade Richardson for Miller.

Sign Artest.

Get Stoudemire Back and healthy.

Trade O'Neal for Okafor.

PG - Paul/Dragic
SG - Miller/Barbosa
SF - Hill/Artest/Dudley
PF - Stoudemire/Swift
C - Okafor/Amundson

MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

if we keep nash than we have to trade j-rich. our 2 spot needs to be a hard nosed defender. also our three spot and 5 spot needs to be a lock down defender. trade shaq for camby. trade j-rich for miller and brewer. that doesn´t help with the 2spot defense but camby would be awesome...

NOOOOO to ty Lawson. He will be nothing in the nba.

I love Nash and see his value as a player, even this late in his career. He has been a liability on Defense, no doubt. But MOST PG’s are not that good at defense. Shoot, there are real no stoppers in the nba anymore. Tragic is doing well, but he is not going to be any better then nash.

Some good takes about MD and porter vs Nash and a replacement who plays D. I personally think it is time to say good bye to a lot of players on this team. When is the difference. I think you see what you can do this off-season and see if you can keep shaq and trade him when he is most value at the trade deadline. Amare should be on the table, same with “tough” Jrich (because mary thinks being a moron and getting arrested makes you a tough guy. LAMO) and even barbs. This team needs a new identity and new life. Its time to start over and we will not get that great pick next year because of morons in the FO.

Be prepared for a long rebiulding process. I bet most of these posters will be gone next year and jump on the bandwagon of other teams. See ya guys!

letting Nash go doesn't make us any better. However, if we are doing a complete rebuild and letting Nash go to a contender as he deserves, then I wouldn't mind seeing us trade for Kirk Hinrich who I believe can manage the floor and do a good job defending.
