1) Keep Matt Barnes and Amare Stoudemire, Give Barnes a deal somewhere around the 5 year 3M range and give Amare the max.

2)Get rid of the other 11 players on the team, through trades, not signing them, etc...

3)Use the #14 draft pick wisley, draft anyone except Chase Budinger, Tyler Hansbrough or BJ Mullens. Anyone is fine but those three guys...

4) Get drunk and party after all those things happen

Why would you want to keep Barnes and Amare?

Right now the only guys I want to keep are the bench guys. Everyone else has massive flaws. If we could just unload everyone for draft picks galore or young talent, you go for it. Nash to Toronto, NYK or POR. Rich for anybody who will take him. Shaq to Cleveland. Amare for the best offer...etc, etc.

Chances are the Suns wont get a decent value for Amare, if he's ever traded it would most likely be for 50 cents on the dollar so the Suns are better off keeping him. If they get a solid deal that brings them close to equal value they should go for it than.

As for Barnes, he brings toughness and defense to the Suns. He might be a streaky shooter but after Amare he's the Suns toughest player that puts fear into other teams opposing players. Also he does good things off the court...

1. Nash to Portland for Blake/Batum/Rodriguez
2. JRich/Rodriguez to Clippers for Baron Davis

Resign Hill and maybe Swift if cheap. Let Barnes walk. Draft best available at #14. Wait and see whether something comes up later until trading deadline. Say Blake to Pistons for Rasheed sign+trade.

Not much unless teams come a calling. What I have heard is that some are thinking of trading out of the draft completely this year. I think this is a way the suns can move up in the draft and maybe trade the right players if the returning pieces are good.

but don't jump at the opportunity to clean house and be the worst team next year when you have not pick. That would be stupid.

If the pieces are not right, then just keep them together and make a final run and then let everyone walk. Yeah, you don't get much, but you do have cap space. Start looking at rebuilding with youth if possible and picks. Then, in 2010, make a run at D-wade for the hell of it.

If you do trade nash to Portland, then I want to get Fernandez back instead of Blake. Plus, why do we need him if we trade for B-diddy?

Sarver should open his checkbook this year and start buying draft picks like crazy. It's not like we're going to get any proper FAs wanting to come here, so might as well stock up on youth.

Trade Nash for hughes and the 8th pick. Trade Shaq for Wallace, Pavlovich and the 29th. Draft Cole Aldrich at number 8, James Johnson at number 14 and Cedric Jackson at number 29 (if he falls). Let Grant out of his misery, let Barnes, Swift and Tucker go as well.

Dragic/Jackson
LB/JRich/Pav
Johnson/Dudley/Pav
Amare/Lou
Wallace/Cole/Lopez or buy out Nash, sign Ariza with the money, hope Cole falls to 14th.

Dragic/Jackson
LB/JRich/Pav/Hughes
Ariza/Dudley/Pav
Amare/Lou
Wallace/Cole/Lopez

Barnes is getting a job at Wal-Mart after this season. Hill has a nice place set up at a retirement community and Nash can go and be somewhere with his "friends", shaq should retire and become our next coach and cut lopez and tucker. Amare can get his gorilla game on alongside Dudley and Barbosa.

The only one that should definitely go is Richardson.

Dudley has to stay.

Barnes had a career year with us this year. we can't afford this guy, he'll walk out of here, he'll be going to another playoff team that can offer him a multi-year contract around 4-5mil per year very similar to Posey. Get rid of Lopez & Tucker maybe even Dragic. trade those 3 for maybe just 1 decent defensive player or solid back up PG. We must get rid of "dead" weight.

We won't have enough players if we do a 3 for one trade. In terms of quality players, I think we may be better off with them than try to fill our bench with minimum contracts.

Barnes is as good as gone since we won't have the money to keep him here.

we should keep:
ama´re, dragic ( he realy showed some improvement ), j-rich, shaq, swift, lou, ghill.
than build around them a couple of defensive minded players who can run..
i would love the shaq to cleveland trade, wally and ben would fit very well in here.

Props to the great one

Is Shaq even tradeable? The most marketable thing about Shaq is his expiring contract. I think the best trade you guys could pull off for Shaq in the offseason is maybe for players along the lines of Nocioni, Udrih, and Kenny Thomas for Shaq, but even that the Kings might balk at.

If Kerr were smart, he would wait until next season's trade deadline to ship out Shaq to a team desperate for size for a playoff run, a la the way riley did. Perhaps to a team like Dallas for young talent like bass, some bigger contracts short in length, and maybe a pick or 2.

As for Nash, your best bet would be to wait to trade him to a team that is desperate for better PG play. Perhaps to a team like Houston for a solid talent like Battier, a young pg in Brooks, and a bad contract.

Trade to a team that is desperate, don't trade because you are desperate.

First off, FIRE KERR. Fire him, for the love of GOD fire him. That's all I want.

Ideally, I'd like to keep everything together, get Amundson to work on his offense exclusively during the offseason, put Lopez into a coordination clinic of some sort, get rid of Barnes and Richardson if possible and KEEP Jared Dudley. With our "lotto" pick, draft someone to be a swing player who can play tough defense too and knock down a three when need be.

I don't want to do a full rebuild, because we won't have our own pick next year and I don't want it to be a top 5 pick and not coming to us.

Keep things together, wait to see how THIS team can work with a healthy Amare. Remember, we didn't have our "franchise" player (I only say this because Nash is better obviously but he's not the future) basically for the rest of the season after the trading deadline. No team is going to be able to overcome what we've overcome. Developing the bench is imperative, especially the progress they've made under Gentry.

Yeah that's exactly what i was thinking. There will be teams looking for a fat expiring, especially teams that have a big roster but are lottery bound.

Yes, I'm with you on that (re: the daily dime article). Guys like Ariza are what we need.
So many variables in what the FO might do but if it's a partial rebuild we need to find some solid roleplayers who can blossom, the way Raja and Boris did. I would love to move JRich if possible but salary is an issue. Barnes is just too inconsistent to pay what he'll want so let him go.

But back to the Ariza thing - him Crittenton (who I still like), find a guy like A Morrow, draft a tough post defender/rebounder lunchpail guy. Let Amar'e be The Man. Surround him with help defense. If Nash stays, we need to minimize what he costs defensively.

Simply put, we don't need stars.
