I'm wondering what you guys think? It seems as though he isn't having alot of fun these days.

The Suns have a team option on him which they can choose to pick up or not. I'm considered a Nash hater and even I can tell you it would be foolish just to not pick out his contract and let him walk, reason being is that the Suns would still have to shell out 7M and they would end up getting nothing for him while he still has value around the league.

Nash looks a lot more like himself since Porter left. Despite not making the playoffs, I see him staying.

what's the point in keeping him? besides next year we will probably be at the bottom of the conference, considering that OKC and probably the Queens will be better than us. Put Griffin, Hawes, Thompson and Martin together you have a pretty good starting unit, and OKC will probably pick up some others to compliment Durant, i see OKC being what Portland is now.....the west is going to get harder to compete. And you can't win with a bunch of old guys that don't play any defense. I thought JRich was one that can create his own shot and take the last shot of games, boy was i f-ing wrong about that...

I'd argue that Nash is the perfect veteran to help develop young guys (or really handle any situation), and so would be a lock for the first year of our rebuilding process.

whether he stays of opts out, he'll have a major influence and who else goes & stays. Hill, Amar'e, Barnes, Shaq, & Barbosa. His defensive effort totally dissapointed me this year. I always use to tell myself he's not the best defender but not the worse either, & this year he bacame the worst of the worst we've got to offer. At this point, I say he walks out and we invest some cash on the next best thing, whoever that might be that we can afford.

Ya know, I think its sad how this fan base continually fails to give guys a chance at being "franchise players". Every player has plenty of flaws, but this has been such a transient organization with the fans becoming sick of players like Trix, Amar'e, Nash...I mean, come on, what happened to a player thriving in your city til retirement?

How can Suns fans be turning on the guy who won 2 MVPs WHILE ON OUR TEAM, and pioneered what has become a huge movement in the recent showing of the run n' gun, all the while being a class act and extending himself beyond his physical capabilities stamina-wise? So what, a PG who doesn't play good defense? Let's pick up Dwight Howard off of waivers since the Magic can't stand his poor FT%.

Well said. But then again, Nash deserves better than this team.

Depends on what we do in the off-season. I think if we're going into rebuild-on-the-fly mode, he'll still be here to make sure our offense stays up-tempo. If we're going into full rebuild mode, he's as good as gone. We probably won't let him walk, but rather trade since there's no way Sarver would stand paying 7mill to a player not on his team.

lol at even the thought of letting nash go. keep him, let him teach dragic some things, and let him retire after his contract expires as a phoenix sun

I want nothing more than for Nash to win a 'ship as a SUN but at the same time I wouldn't mind if he walks and gets his ring somewhere else. He deserves a ring either with PHX or somewhere else. BUT with the roster that we have it ain't gonna happen. We need drastic moves to happen, we need to shake things up if we are going to keep Nash. Nash needs to win & win now.

Marc Stein says the Suns WILL offer Nash an extension this Summer and I think he will accept because he seems to really like playing for Gentry.

Nash, though, sounded upset in an article up on AZ Central when talking about the trade that sent away Raja and Boris. He pretty much blamed Porter for that trade.

Porter destroyed this team. His system sucked and he pissed off half the team.

Gentry should have been head-coach from the beginning because the players really like him. (They hated Porter)

I think the Suns and Nash should depart now.
