Shaq takes shots at Sarvers cheapness

Glad he's basically calling him out in front of the national media, here's the article and some quotes.
http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns/ar ... -suns.html"I'm sure there's going to be some decisions to be made," said O'Neal, whose contract expires with a $20 million salary next season. "It's not my job (to decide). There are two types of business owners. Do you want to win or do you want to save money? Period."
When asked which one Suns Managing Partner Robert Sarver was, O'Neal said: "I'm not sure. The guy over here (Dallas owner Mark Cuban) spends money. I don't think he's really worried about the salary cap. I've been around 17 years and that's what it is. You either want to win and don't really care about the salary cap or you want to be under the salary cap."

Where does the Knicks owner fit in all this?
There one thing to spend money and there's another to cripple yourself. Shaq salary is crippling the Suns. STFU

+1
I see no point in paying the luxury tax for this team. 20 millions could've saved hundreds of lives !!

let the finger-pointing begin. There's gonna be alot of it in the up-coming weeks. I say it's Kerr's fault.

When did he blast Wade? I know he was upset with the Heat front office, because they were purposely tanking the season. Lakers thing was a bit more complicated, than, hey I hate you all, trade me away. 80% of the conflict was between him and Kobe.
After the performance this season, Shaq has all the right to criticize. Suspect defense, suspect effort, and crappy management decisions all around. He's just calling it as he sees it.

solid take Dry_Fish. Not m any owners pay the lux tax. See, cuban has not won a championship. I know we had a thered that showed how much sarver has lost the past 5 years owning this team. I think it was over 200 mil.
Second of all, like what harshey said, this is what shaq does. He loves to blast and talk and he wants out of there. He can't be a professional and go to managment and say hey, I want to be traded this offseason. Its been good, but I failed at delievering a championship like I promised. I pointed at my finger and made my usually stupid quotes that when I get mad, I win championships.
Shaq has been good for us this year, but it will be good to see the man leave.

He blasted Wade by calling him "wonderboy" behind his back towards the end of his time in Miami.
Unfortunately, things just haven't worked out for Shaq in Phoenix.
But in his defense, it hasn't really been his fault. His time with the Suns has been ruined by bad luck and bad decisions.
But I think it would be smart to trade him this Summer while his value is still high because he's played VERY well this season.

Just imagine Shaq and Nash going to dallas next season. I'm not saying its possibility I'm just asking you to imagine it.
That'd be so random.

Nash probably regrets telling Kerr to make the Shaq trade. They have NO chemistry while Nash and Marion had great chemistry.

Nash told Kerr to make the trade?

Yes he did. He was asked for his thoughts and he told them, "Do it."
Nash, Amare, D'Antoni, and Sarver all pushed for the trade while Kerr preferred to keep Marion.

Well Shaq, there are two types of players. Those that want to make money and those that want to win....

Seems to me like these days he cares more about his all time scoring ranking on the list than the team winning. All he's been talking about is how much gas he has left, how dominant he still is and that he wants his boss to not care about money. Yea right Shaq, YOU want to win.

Kerr was on the radio today and said he was "disappointed" in Shaq's comments about Sarver.
I think Shaq is trying to talk his way out of Phoenix. He knows he screwed up by leaving Miami.
To me, they HAVE to trade him before he becomes a MAJOR disruption like he did in Miami when he became unhappy.
He will show up out of shape and be unmotivated if they keep him this summer.
He will turn into a locker-room cancer.

And he's won 4 titles and been on a losing team 3 times in a 17 year career, I'd say winning is all he's done.

Surely you are not comparing this Shaq with the one that won 4 rings?? When he asked to be bought out of Miami, he wanted his full contract (i.e. remaining 2.5 years worth) paid then to be let go so he could sign where he pleased

That sound like someone who isn't about the money?
I guarantee you Shaq will never take a vet minimum contract anywhere. If he truly is all about winning then that is what he'll have to do, cause he's not worth what he gets paid even though he may think he is....
