Sean Freaking Marks

The Nuggets avoided a 3-0 hole by playing Sean Freaking Marks 26 minutes with a +/- of +18 - the best +/- of anyone in the game.

DAMN YOU D'ANTONI!! *shakes fist*

I mean seriously -- TWENTY SIX MINUTES. Imagine going up to D'Antoni a year ago and bein' all, "hey, about our rotation. You know what we should do during the playoffs? We should play Sean Freaking Marks for about a half hour."

I totally called it:

i remember the last game of last year's season he had a double double, and i just laughed. d'antoni was such a (Please Use More Appropriate Word), don't get me wrong i love him for making us relevant and bringing excitement to nba, but he has some real coaching deficiencies.

I wouldn't sweat it, Amundson is much better. But its nice to see Marks get the minutes that DA never gave him.

Marks had one solid game...+/- is an overrated stat. There's a reason that D'Antoni wasn't the only coach that didn't play him.

exactly marks had one solid game that you are noticing if you wanna talk about a player who we have missed out on its Rondo... he is killing it this playoff season just like last year thats one person who would of been awesome for us. oh well its the past look ahead not back D'antoni is gone.

How's that the bright side?

Marks was probably better suited in the half court game. Some players just don't fit in certain schemes. I'm not saying D'Antoni was perfect, but he was a pretty damned good coach. Adelman received a lot of the same criticism that D'Antoni received, blamed for his players being too soft on defense, didn't use his bench players enough. That doesn't erase the fact that he is still one of the better coaches in the NBA. Nor does it mean that the players weren't as equally accountable, as we have seen with our team's porous defense across three coaches in 2 seasons.

I'm not saying he was a superstar. I'm just pointing out he deserved more than 130 minutes the whole season.
