Amare for Bosh?

Bosh appears to be on the trade block. Both have expirings in 2010. Bosh is the more complete player of the two and would possibly resign here after experiencing Phoenix for a year. I think it's worth a shot.

I can't be bothered locking these anymore

It's worth a shot...though I don't see Colangelo taking Amare on...Calderon/Amare would make a nice combo though, and Marion there too

Suns are either rebuilding with youth/expirings or holding onto Amare...I don't see them taking on Bosh unless he says he's signing here long term

The Suns would be better off going to for young talent/picks. I mean Bosh is young also but he's going to want a max contract, if the Suns can get a young talent that's on a rookie contract or even has a contract that's half it would be a good deal.

nah it's ok in the offseason, I've seen the odd comment about me locking too many too quickly, so I'll let them go until people say it's bothering them...

After what Amar'e said earlier this week, I say hell yes trade 'em straight up. You're trading a young allstar for another.

If Bosh signs an extension in advance this year, then yeah do it.

If not then forget it, Bosh is less likely to extend a Phoenix contract next year then Amare is.

^^ no way, if bosh would get passes from nash he´d score like 25 á game. stat is an offensive beast but te biggest idiot i´ve seen play basketball. right now i´d prefer eric montross way before stat.

Stoudemire can fuel a team's spirit. He can single handedly change the pace of a game. We all know where he stands on defense, but I am not convinced that Bosh is as good (or much better for that matter) of a defender as people make him out to be.

I think Stoudemire's biggest knock is the ticky-tack fouls he picks up. I don't think the refs respect him on that end of the court and he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt. Were Bosh in that same situation, he'd be on equal playing ground.

Yeah, I'd do this trade. From the looks of things, it seems like Amare won't sign with us unless we give him a max extension which I don't think he's worth without Nash. I think any decent winning team Bosh goes to would be a good enough scenery change for him to resign.

From the Olympics, I'd say Bosh is the perfect DA bigman and better defender than Amare in DA's system. If they get Bosh and LBJ join force in NY, DA could actually win a title with his system, now not solely reliant on just one player that could easily be shut down like Nash.

I don't like Bosh. never have

I just don't see anything special in him...he's good...but would be better suited as a 2nd scorer, or even the primary option on a well balanced team, not one he has to score 25-28 every night, but more like an efficient 18-22...next to Timmy D in SA for example or Wade in MIA or obviously Lebron

Probably cos he's a weird looking dude as well...his hair's a joke :D

Amare at least LOOKS like a PF. Bosh looks like a big SG

Even with the mental issues give me Amare...injuries and all...One guy can INTIMIDATE and make another team's whole defensive scheme change to prevent him scoring...give me that guy..and the better player in the playoffs...

And all the Bosh worshippers trying to say Bosh's J is far superior to Amare's....please...stop

Both suck on D, though Amare's shotblocking is at least aggressive sometimes. I have no doubt if Amare really wanted to he would put up 12rebs and 2blks...but he doesn't want to/is too lazy/preoccupied with scoring

Yeah, I agree with you Tastic. Despite Amare's lack of man-defense, he's actually a half decent intimidator on the defensive end when guards drive in.

I also agree Bosh is kinda weird looking. He doesn't seem to scare anyone offensively or defensively and unlike STAT you won't see him posterising anyone.

I'd take Amare over Bosh any day, but in the event Amare straight up says he don't wanna be here, then I'd move him for Bosh in a heart beat.

are you guys telling me that ama´re is a decent defender?? what in hell did i miss??
if i was like 6.10 half the athletic of ama´re i would pick up 15 boards with 5 blocks.. harhar.

and what more has this sucker to say that all of us realize that he wants to leave??

the same bul happend to joejohnson, matrix. at the end we end up as the big losers. so trade him now for bosh. or trade him for david lee and fillers. or trade him for camby and bdavis. than we could trade shaq to chicago for that crap earlier mentioned..

I honestly think that if Amare wasn't labled as "foul prone" by whatever pre-game breifing those refs get, he would be more of an impact on the defensive end.

He can play great defense, I've seen it on more than one ocassion and in more than one game. The problem I see is that he gets discouraged/frustrated when he plays fantastic D for the first 22 seconds of the shot-clock and the refs blow some ticky-tack bs on him and bail the other team out right before expiration.

Obviously that's not the only issue, but sometimes it honestly seems like Amare is laying it all out there. When he does that, Bosh couldn't touch him in his wildest dreams.

One last thing. DO NOT FORGET... this is a contract year for Stoudemire. I'd hesitate to say that this may be a defining year for his career.
