Interesting chat from hoopsworld (covers Amare, rumors, etc)

The most interesting points basically were

-Shaq isn't going to the Cavs in any deal

-The Celtic deal isn't happening

-Amare's eye issues are serious...

-Kerr thinks Lopez is going to be the Suns starting center of the future

http://www.hoopsworld.com/chat.asp?stat ... ICS_ID=312

If you were Steve Kerr and you traded Shaq for Ben Wallace/Pavlovich and Wallace retired, what would be your next move with no decent Free Agent to play center this year? Let Robin Lopez get heavy minutes and experience? Ship Amare/Nash?

Steve Kyler:
He won;t do that deal... so it;s moot, but Kerr told us in Chicago that they see Lopez as being able to start at center for them in the future, so you read that how you want.

I get the feeling the Bosh and Amare are waiting to see which "winning" clubs they can jump to. Where do you see both ending up?

Steve Kyler:
Amare Stoudemire and Bosh have no say this year... Bosh wants to be in Toronto this season, he was very happy that Truiano got the coaching job and is eager to pick up where they left off...

Amare is a different story... his eye is jacked up... basically there is a very dense fluid that has to either be removed from the eye or allowed to drain on its own, so he basically has to lay down for hours at a time with his head to the side and let it drain naturally... he can not do anything remotely athletic, he'll be in terrible shape when the season rolls around and thats when injury strikes.

What is your take on the Allen/Rondo for Amare/Barboso/#14 trade talk coming out of Phoenix. DO you take it seriously.

Steve Kyler:
The Celtics are not trading Rajon Rondo... thats simply silly... anyone talking about Stoudemire in trade does not understand whats going on with his eye... he should recover, but its scary stuff... until he's on the floor shooting shots, he is damaged good in a major way.

I do think Boston's best trade asset is the ending contract of Ray Allen... but thats not to say he'd return what he provides if you did trade him.

Man that sucks about the eye....hope he's ok. Even though he's pissed us all off, anything like possible career ending injuries for such a young guy is always shame, all the best Stat to a fast recovery...

And shut up about all this wanting to play elsewhere crap please :)

Kyler actually talked to Kerr when he was scouting in Chicago so he probally has some idea about what's going on.

Everyone in Phoenix knows that Gambo is Sarver's mouthpiece. Gambo is right when Sarver wants him to be right that is all. If Sarver wants us to eat a mouthfull of bull, that's what he gives Gambo to feed us. Take neither one of these jokers seriously.

Anything out of hoopsworld is poop. Gambo is bothering me, but if you do listen, you will know that man is right on with a lot of suns stuff before it breaks.

He was on with the picks being traded before it was talked about on draft day. The JJ situation and last years picks before the draft happened. Some guy who works for that POS website is not reliable. Plus, might as well put some lame poster from realgm to write for hoopsworld.

Sarvers mouthpiece is Kerr. I would not say anyone in the media is.

Amar'e is going to be fine & dandy, I'm least worried about that. I think if Wallace is planning to retire, that we should DEFINITELY pull that deal, and also cut Sasha because he's only owed a guaranteed 1.5mil. That saves us a definite 20million, which puts us 3million below the cap space. Signing Hill + the 14th would put us RIGHT at the limit, and we'd still have the full MLE, LLE, and if we look to move him, a way to get a big in a J-Rich trade. For example, JRich for Mike James + Haywood + Pecherov
Draft Terrence Williams with the 14th.

Haywood/Lopez/Pecherov
Stoudemire/Amundson/Pecherov
Hill/Dudley/Williams
Williams/Barbosa/Dragic
Nash/James/Dragic

I think that's a SOLID defensive team, and we'd be RIGHT at cap space and way under lux tax area without using our MLE/LLE. We would probably sign a scoring big or a defensive wing and still be able to stay under luxtax. For example, full MLE for a year to Sheed, and LLE to Bogans / Barnes.

Great for both teams if Wallace retires and we move Shaq for him. Instant cap relief. I'd do full MLE for Sheed if he'd sign for that much and LLE to Bogans. I'm done with Barnes.

Why would Wizards want J.Rich?

Next to Arenas, Butler, Jamison?

A 3 point shooter?... they also Nick Young, Deshawn Stevenson.

They lack a center, but Javale Mcgee looks like he can be a rotation center.

The Wizards wouldn't do any of the deals you guys just proposed. The only offer we'd make for JRich is Stevenson+Songailia+James. He is an unwanted player.

I don't know where this guy gets his stuff (Hoopsworld) but evrything I've read and heard about Amar'e's recovery is

... perfectly normal and proceeding as expected, should be no problems. And - goggles would not have helped as this injury was the result of a longterm problem and going to happen no matter what he did. Neither fo the shots he took to his head and eye area caused it or worsened it. he just had the bad luck to have two eye injuries in one year. Still, it would be smart to wear the goggles the rest of his career as the first injury could have been prevented

The microfracture i don't know about. Who said he would definitely need another surgery on the knee(s)?
Given that Amar'e came back faster and far better from the initial surgery, maybe he beats the odds on needing another one. His gamer has changed considerably since his first few years and may not stress the joints as much
