why do you guys not like j rich??? (det fan)

in almost every trade involving PHX i see j rich and you guys saying that you will trade him to whoever, is it his style of play or contract? because i always thought he was a good bball player so why do you guys not want him???????

He's too expensive and doesn't fit our need for a defensive 2 to play with a defenseless Nash. As for his scoring, it's nice he can put up 20 a night, but we were fine with Raja's offensive production which was only like 10ppg.

His contract mainly, if he was getting paid let's say 8-10M per year it would be worth it but it raises to 13M and than 14M I think. That's alot of dough for a 4th best player on your team. I'm still glad the trade happened though because the Suns managed to unload Doris Meow, before the season started he was basically untradeable because of his production and I was surprised they got J-Rich but beggars can't be choosers but I like him as a player the only thing is his contract.

I like him. The problem is we have the SAME EXACT PLAYER in Barbosa and at half the price.

J-rich has the lowest bball IQ of all time. I was a fan before he came to the suns; the more I watch him play, the less I like his game.

I don't mind him...just don't think he's a good fit in the current system...We NEED a Bell type guy, bot Jrich.

IF Shaq is gone and we can replace him with Chandler or Dalembert then I'm all for keeping him as the second scorer behind Amare

I just have this feeling that this season is going to be a real grinder and a tough one to watch

1)We traded two great rotation guys for him who were perfect fits for us
2)Barbosa duplicates his offense at half the price
3)Low bball iq
4)lack of d
5)off the court troubles

with all of that being said, he's not someone that you just give away...still has value, can still score

I like him just fine. We have all been EXTREMELY tough on him. He came to the team mid-season, learned a different style of play. Then we changed coaches, and changed the style again. We had all sorts of internal turmoil....all of these things going on at the same time makes it very difficult to adjust. I think he could be a very good defender, and I love his scoring ability. The issue is A: Steve Nash does not have the physical ability to be a good defender, and we need a guy that it a quasi 1st team defender at the 2 (and really the 3 as well) to mask his deficiencies on the defensive end. I'm not sure that person is J-Rich.

I don't agree with most of the board that we should just give him away for a bunch of crappy players, and expiring contracts. I feel from a Pistons perspective that a Rip for J-Rich trade would be good for both teams. (I obviously would prefer Prince).

I agree. I feel that we also need a defensive stopper @ the 3 (not a 37 year old) as well for that to work. That could be Posey....

Because we are MORONS!!! Instead of asking a guy who avg 17.5 points (only 28) a game for us to play defense, we just say trade him, kinda like Amare. Then we can complain about it in the future, just like Bell, Marion and Joe. Everyone was smashing Raja, who btw, was only making 4 million a year!!

Some of us Suns fan love giving away talented players. Don't worry dude, you can have Amare for Maxiel....Let a Suns' fan tell it!

The worst case scenario certainly IS NOT keeping JRich. Kerr-plunk could easily hose us with a lopsider just trying to save dough. I have no probs moving forward with him... it was just a poor trade from the stand point of defensive needs. We dealt our two best D-boys, then plugged him into our already porous line up.

I don't want to give JRich away. And at least his deal is not too lengthy.

i like him. he´s spectacular, the main problem is that we have lb - we need to trade one of those two players to fill the needs on other positions. and lb is a fan favorite so everyone calls out j-rich

Yeah I think it's definitely time for Barbosa to start at SG and see how he can really go

Wonder who actually has interest in Richardson? they have to think he can be had for cheap in terms of acquiring him, but paying him is another story. He would be a good fit on CLE, NY or DEN I think

D'Antoni likes high bball IQ guys IMO, so I don't think he'd trade for him

Hey Suns fans,
Thinking of picking up J-rich in a keeper league over other guys still on the board (Ray Allen, Barbosa, Marvin Williams, Grant Hill, Birdman, McDyess, Thad Young, AK47, AI, T-Mac, etc)

Noticed his minutes and numbers tanked in April, can anyone tell me why? Was he hurt? Did the coach want to go with different looks?

Do you expect him to get 30+ minutes this year and go back to being a 2 three, 18 point 4 board guy?
How will Stoudemire coming back effect his numbers?

with Stat coming back, JRich's numbers will most likely go down unless we get rid of Shaq. If Shaq is gone, JRich will be the #2 scorer behind Amare.
