After viewing the building of the current Suns roster and our lack of success (partly due to the Amare injury), it seems to most of us that the Suns should "blow it up" and build for the future. We seem to have real trade pieces in Nash and Amare with also potential value in Shaq and JRich.

My concern is that Kerr/Sarver may not pull all the triggers possible out of potential embarrassment of OKC getting a lottery pick, in 2010, due tothe Kurt Thomas trade. Do you think our rebuilding will be delayed due to the Suns not wanting to lose face or will Kerr/Sarver completely rebuild?

My view is that as much as I love Nash, it makes no sense not to get value for him right now. Amare is problematic due to lack of return value in any trade (although I don't see a contract extension with the Suns). I am hoping we trade Shaq and also hope someone will take JRich. Unfortunately, the only piece of the four we can build around is Amare and I don't think this makes sense given his lack of growth defensively and his ongoing injury concerns/potential for future injury.

Rebuilding is painful.........If you were GM, would you gut the entire core now?

Easier said than done. Not easy to get anything back to use for rebuilding when you are merely "blowing it up."

Maybe the Suns should just trade #14 to OKC for their 2010 first back? I'm sure they would do it.

I'm done with this bullcrap! You let Nash expire or take a pay cut. You trade Shaq to Cleveland for expirings and Hickson. Tell Hill to Join Shaq in Cleveland. Draft Clark. Then you let them play. It is that easy. Kobe Lakers sucked for 3 yrs, now look at them!

I don't think we'd rebuild regardless OKC had the pick or not. Kerr/Sarver seem more interested in retooling and fielding a competitive team.

WE DO NOT NEED TO REBUILD. We just need Amar'e to STFU and need to bring good talent to the SF/PG/C spots that can be valuable for us in the future.

Problem is, most suns fans are retards and only show knee jerk reactions. You just don't blow up a team just because you missed the playoffs by one game and your best player was out with an eye injury. why blow it up now? Whats the reasons? You just don't decide to "blow it up" and hope to get something decent back. You have to have a plan and play your cards right. (which kerr and sarver will not do) Rebuilding is a methodical method with a bunch of luck. It can take a long time or, you can get lucky, have a plan and move forward with it. Luck is a huge.

Suns want to resign Nash to sale tickets, which is stupid in its self. That tells us fans its about the money and not winning. Or, it swings both ways in that Nash can mentor Tragic, since he is going to be so great in Kerr's eyes. Thing is, this was his first major draft and he is going to hold on to these bench players because he knows he is a moron.

OKC, you do not want to help them out in any way. why hand them a high draft pick?

If we do it now or next year, it does not matter because this team is about to go throw a painful rebuilding process, especially if they get rid of amare for crap.

ESC, I think your right in some ways, but wrong in others. I really believe if FroLo got playing time all season last year that he could have contributed a lot on the defensive end, especially in defending the P&R since that is our BIGGEST weakness. I think this year he will be much better if he's given a solid 20MPG CONSISTENTLY. Dragic, as shown by his stats later in the season, is far from "tragic." He showed a LOT of promise, especially defensively and in his playmaking. He has great bball IQ, can get to the hole at well, and his quickness allows him to outplay most point guards on the defensive end. Also, I think if Nash is allowed to walk at the end of next season, this team is done, therefore resigning him is our only option, even if it is only to play him for 20 MPG and give the rest of the minutes to Dragic or whoever else we get. Basically, we need to just shore up our bench, get rid of Shaq + J-Rich, and bring in some defenders. It seems like a really tough job, but ONE trade can change a LOT for us. If Cleveland really is interested in Shaq for Wallace + Sasha + 30th, we should do it without any hesitation, because that saves us 19million THIS YEAR (if we pay 1.5 and cut sasha) + gets us another young guy. Then let J-Rich + Tucker + Dragic for Kirilenko + Brewer. Draft Ty Lawson and Danny Green with 14th + 30th. Major defensive improvements, and the bench is bolstered on the perimeter atleast. Throw the MLE at Gooden and LLE at Rasho and we're set...
