Jennings is expected to participate in a Suns pre-draft workout today at US Airways Center, where it already had been announced that two other candidates for the Suns' pick at No. 14 in Thursday's NBA draft - Louisville forward Earl Clark and Gonzaga forward Austin Daye (on his second trip) - would participate. The workout also includes Swedish forward Jonas Jerebko and a pair of second-round prospects, guards Nick Calathes of Florida and Jack McClinton of Miami.

It was also mentioned this was the Suns last draft workout. An interesting list of names anyway, three potential lottery picks and three late first or early second rounders. I don't see any of the last three guys being available in the late 40's were the Suns pick so maybe they want to trade up or buy a late first or second?

Why are are there no workout vids or interviews on suns.com like they used to do?

I watched the NBA combine on NBATV and i gotta say that Daye really impressed me. I see a lot of Tayshaun Prince in him. If Jennings did fall to us at 14, you have to take him. Besides Griffin and possibly Rubio, he is the only person that i can see being a "STAR" player. I also like Holiday, but think he will go way before our pic (even though nbadraft.net has him going @18).

So if i was Kerr i would draft in order:

1. Jennings
2. Holiday
3. Daye
4. Clark
5. Johnson

And i STILL dont see what everyone else see's in Mullins. I think he has BUST written all over him.

Because Kerr already knows he's going to pick Budinger and doesnt want to waste $$$ for a camera crew to get Planet Orange upset at him.

I read somewhere else that James Johnson's is working out there as well. So, they'll get a look at almost everyone they're considering that might be there at 14.

Daye is one of the last players I want us to draft.. I'm just not impressed with him and doing well in a workout won't convince me.

I almost agree, reverse Clark and Daye, although I wouldn't get upset if we do take Daye over Clark.

Youve got THE EYE for basketball talent..I like Holiday too and Mullins being picked in the top20 cracks me up..How come there's always a white stiff center being drafted 20 slots too high?

We are not going to draft Mullens at 14. No team in their right mind will draft him before 20 unless they feel he is the BPA, which is highly unlikely. I really like the idea of drafting Clark or Williams with our pick if Holiday + Jennings are off the board.

Clark or Daye. Williams could be trouble, we already have Amare. No more knuckleheads. The guy isn't going to play anyway. That is why Daye could be the pick. Alas Andrew bynum. Grant and Duds can hold down the fort this year with no problem. If Daye and Robin developes.....having an active 7' center and 6'11 SF and Amare at 6'10....As the sinsai (how ever you spell it) in the Karate Kid said "You are a pushy little bastard.......BUT I LIKE THAT, I LKIE THAT.

2010

6'4 athlete
6'6 athlete
6'11 lengthy, skilled player or Clark 6'10 athlete
6'10 athlete
7'0 athlete

draft Clark or Daye, resign Stat and I am happy. I'm off Jennings, because of his personality.

I fully expect the suns to take Daye if he is available, even if Jennings is as well.

and Jack McClinton from Miami

I hope he falls to us in the second. I was able to watch about 5 or 6 games (TV) with him last season... he is an assassin.

keep an eye on him. Hope he does well here. Apparently, he was working out w/Nash last off season.

McClinton would be nice in the 2nd round, wish he wasn't 23 or going on 24 or however old he is. My picks for the 2nd round (if we need to trade up so be it) are Tony Douglas (great defender), Derrick Brown (another good SF wing defender), or maybe that Jeberko kid. (looks like he might have a little Kerilenko in him....)

^ I like Brown too, but don't think he slips to the 2nd. Will be on of those George Hill/Jason Thompson first round surprises I think

I am completely sold on Jack McClinton with our second round pick. He has an amazing shot and great range. You can also tell he possesses a higher mental feel for the game as well. His paint work/finishing isnt there yet, but he knows how to break the defense apart and is very savvy handles and slashing to the basket. Exactly what I want from a combo guard.

Draftexpress compares him to eddie house, and I completely agree. Prob a bit quicker and more athletic too.

He would be great behind barbosa in a few years imo.

--- I feel like the fat girl in the doughnut shop: I want them all. In different order though .... I like Clark, Henderson, Johnson, TWilliams, Holiday - not sure about Jennings at all but from what I saw of Mullens he could be very good for someone, someday.
