The plot thickens....

Robert Sarver owns a lot of real estate and banks in San Diego. He moved to Arizona from San Diego when purchasing the Suns but still has his home in San Diego.

Now, as we know... Kerr retired to San Diego.

Aha... they both love San Diego. They love basketball. There is no NBA team in San Diego.... dun dun dun....

So what better way to bring a team to San Diego to buy one and systematically ruin it draft by draft. Sell your first round picks. Trade great young talent to other teams and year by year let your team age until it's a bunch of geriatrics.

You draft sideshow bob when no one expects it and waste a pick.

First you take on an aged center champion and trade away one of the few defensive anchors on your team.

You run off the great head coach but make it look like it was his idea all along by forcing him to change the fundamental ways he coaches.

You then hire a ball breaking asshat to ruin what is left of team chemistry during his coaching tenure. After that you look like a savior when you hire a C level replacement to replace the previous asshat.

You trade away the one remaining decent defensive anchor on the team and it's most versatile player who back up the most injury prone player on the team for someone who plays little defense and has low basketball IQ.

Then, right when the talent of the team has their contracts expire in 2010 you take your what would of been a high lottery draft pick and send it away leaving nothing but a bleak future and....

Amundson, Dudley, Barbosa, Sideshow Bob, and bloated Richardson's contract to be your future. The seasons of basement like records is on the horizon.

Now 'training' camps have been taken out of Arizona and moved to San Diego.

Soon, when we are angry and watching and reading more about the Cardinals ....

i am just sad the suns wont be in tucson this training camp last 2 years ive seen them and was excited for this year and now im bummed

They already had two NBA teams and lost both them. Not to mention they need a modern up to date arena to even be considered. As we all know Sarver likes to make money and sells out games here in a nice arena. So I doubt Sarver would be willing to lose money considering the past and building a new arena. Also most people in San Diego are Lakers fans so I doubt people would attend games unless their playing the Lakers and the NBA chances are wont allow it considering the close proximity to teams like the Lakers, Clippers, etc.

Yeah even when the Suns were doing bad they were averaging like 16,000 per game still which is better than alot of other NBA markets across the country

same man...they took away one of the few highlights of my semester that tucson could offer me.

best time of the fall semester for me BY FAR! last time i paid 5 bucks to sit right behind the bench that had Bell, Grant, Tucker, dragic, and Marjle.
