Figured this would be a get to know you thread a little. Especially since I'm new to the forum and don't know some of you.

Post what you do and what is your dream job:

I'm a college professor in Korea. This is my dream job. I teach English and some history to mostly air travel students who aspire to be stewardesses in Korea. A job that is very strict on beauty in this country. My college forces appearances checks, makes the girls wear stewardess uniforms, etc. I teach at least eight of these classes each semester with about 35-40 students each. The other two are usually nursing and dental hygenists. My salary is crap (decent for Korea) but I get 4-5 months paid vacation every year. In fact, I don't have to work a single day until September 1rst right now. So I get to see the world.

I thought my last job was my dream job. I worked in a company that helped managed sports recruiting. Mostly with colleges. I spoke to AD's daily of major programs to help them organize their databases versus NCAA regulations, etc. You got to look at things like evaluations, camp invites, etc for teams like Texas, Oklahoma, etc. I was really tuned into the what was going in with college football. It was my job afterall and I new information that was hugely secret and sensitive. It was hard not blab and I never did. That job drove me crazy with what I knew and the off hours I could spend checking things out but never get to talk about.

Anyway, what about you peeps?

I'm a writer/musician and I also run a home for boys - "at-risk youth" is the official designation.

Currently doing some basic accounting work. Before that I've been in computer tech support, sales, day trading, and finance administration. I would trade my current state for a bag of chips and salsa right now.

What I'd really like to be doing is either coaching a volleyball or basketball team. It'd also be cool if I could one day run my own sports bar, or even volunteer for the aspca.

senior in college. majoring in psyc and business and then hoping to go to P.A school and become a Physicians Assistant hopefully assist rsavaj when he becomes a physician.

I'm a FARMERS agent. I'm fairly young compare to other agents. don't murder me please! Bottom line I like to work with people.

But I wish I was working for the Suns front office, maybe as a stats analysis guy or even for the NBA, I like statistics and producing "discussions" and facts from them.


But I also wouldnt mind being a personal trainer for an NBA team, preferrably the Suns... or a hot WNBA team, if there was one...as I am into bodybuilding, health and fitness etc.

I am a Toy's R us kid. I don't want to grow up. But in the interim I am a Computer geek sort of. It is complicated. I like my job just not my employer.

Which in some ways doesn't even make sense to me.

Have you started anything or have anything in the works? I'm an entrepreneur too. Nothing big yet.

I work for a real estate company being their IT guy. Done computer work for the past 5 years and also build custom computers for clients. The pay is ****, but i love computers and am doing something i highly enjoy most of the time (except for the damn end-users who ALWAYS f' up the computers, but that is what keeps me in business!).

MadKant - any opinion on high-intensity intermittent training?

Im a highschool student.

It's high intensity interval training. =P

Works fantastic in my opinion, but I think jogging is boring as hell. Instead of burning more fat during the workout, it raises your metabolic rate so you burn more fat at rest. Either works, just depends on what you want to do (assuming you aren't a competing athlete that requires explosiveness, then HIIT is a good deal better).
