OT: Formal Introduction

Hey everyone,

I've been posting here for a little while, but I figured I'd introduce myself to my fellow Suns Fans. You guys have been great so far and really help get me through my days at work during the week, LOL!

I'm a die-hard Suns fan, season ticket holder, that just loves the NBA in general. It's by far my favorite sport. Other than this, I play guitar, keyboard, and play basketball at my gym when I get any spare time.

It really pains me to see the Suns ready to dismantle the team with not a lot of hope for the near future... Hell it may be 2015 before we get a solid team back together... But I will stick with them throughout. Thanks for reading guys! Here's to the thousands of discussions and arguments in the near future!

Thanks!

Austin

Welcome Austin. It's gonna be a very rough few years for sure, but I hope we fire Kerr & get someone to revive Phoenix basketball once again, or maybe decide to keep this team together and make some positive changes that help us compete next year (ex. acquiring Chandler, getting a GOOD backup for Nash, so on).

The one good thing about rebuilding now, is that David Griffin has a big say in what happens now, I'm sure, since he's the GM-in-waiting.

Do you guys think Dave Griffin would be a good GM?

Good to have you aboard, Austin ... I'm not sold on Griffin's talent selection.

Yeah, I'm not sure either... but at this point in my opinion, my 78 year old deaf, blind, senial grandfather who lives in Backwoods, BFE parts of Nebraska would make a better GM than Kerr...

Welcome my man. Austin, it is good to have you apart of this forum. I too am very distraught at the direction this organization is heading, especially under Kerr.

As a Griff, Im not sure what to think. I personally do not think he will be that great of a GM due to his background. Im not too confident in a guy that came into this organization as a marketing employee. I know he has learned a lot about basketball and moves etc, but Im not sure he is the man that can turn this around.

I think Sarver has to make a great move like the Cards did in bringing in Coach Whisenhunt. If he have a smart coach like him and to help out Griff, I think it could happen. Problem is, we have not had that. MD was not, and Alvin is not either. To me, Kerr is just a moron.

I to think they need to make the best basketball move and the one I like is if they can go after Chandler and bring in a solid backup to Nash. Use some of that MLE for once.

Look forward to your comments Austin.

You guys are aware that Dragic was Griffin's idea in the first place right? I think that will haunt him for a long time.

Well, Dragic was a decent idea and no one really knew he'd be such a bust, but I am still giving him a shot because of how he was after Alvin took over.

Reports say that New Orleans would want more for Tyson Chandler than just Ben Wallace, but with the salary difference, because of big ben's salary, we'd have to actually take more salary back, even if he was waived by the Hornets. In other words, more players would have to be included on BOTH parts of the trade.

I think doing something along the lines of having Wallace and JRich for Tyson, Posey and fillers. It would be ideal for the Suns so that they could potentially start Barbosa and then play him 30+ minutes a game like he deserves, and it would get us 2 legitimate players, one bench and one starting center and keep the Suns still saving more money, and then having 2 2011 contracts swapped so that's basically a wash on both parts. I think it makes sense, but I'm sure there are many people who wouldn't like the idea.

Nah, Dragic is gonna win 6th man of the year within 5 years.

maybe not 6th man of the year, but he'll get much better in the next 5 years.
