Are we that good of a destination?
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/w ... ref=sircrcSo depending on what we do, we need to fill some needs right? If Amare is gone, then Nash, even if Phx is a nice place to live, will players want to play here?
Here is a list of some FA's list of 2009.
Anthony Carter
Resheed Wallace
Artest
Ariza
Odom
Sessions (R)
CV
Shelden Williams
Turkoglu
Andre Miller
Frye (R)
Gooden
Ike Diogu (R)
Marion
Some are younger players that are coming off of rookie contracts that did not get a shot or did not pan out. So, some possible Sarver saver cheap contracts could come.
There is others if you want to add them to the list.

I don't know about if Amare and Nash are gone, but if they stay, we could get CV to play the 4 and slide Amare to center..possible alternative to the Camby/Chandler thing.

did not think of that. could work because CV is a 3-pt threat.

--- Unless CV had some life-changing epiphany in Milwaukee, Raps fans will caution you to be wary. Nice guy, inconsistent effort.

Ron Artest - I would love Artest here, but I don't think Houston let's him go now with the news of Yao.
Lamar Odom - He would be insane in an up-tempo system like Phoenix. If PHX can't lock up Chandler, then I would buy out Wallace and waive Pavlovic in an attempt to sign Odom. Odom plays the 4 and Amare the 5 for spurts.
Andre Miller - Though I think he get's re-inked with his current club, he would be a nice grab with the MLE if we could get him. I like Dragic, but I just don't know if he's ready to spot Nash. The problem with Miller is his age.
Hedo Turkoglu - Now here's an intersting prospect. A point-forward with range. Turkoglu could take the preasure off of Nash at points. He practically played PG when Nelson went down. He could help spread the floor and would make up for Hill's spotty 3pt shot in the starting lineup.
Put simply, it's Chandler or a decent FA.
Problem is, as I understand it, even if we buy out Wallace's contract it still counts towards the salary cap. Even if we had room to get a FA into PHX, it would be like adding twice the salary. I think Wallace might have to be involved in a S&T with some of these guys if we are to have any hope of it.

Andre Miller/Anthony Carter would be nice on this team to give Nash some rest this year.

How much money do we have to spend ???
Providing we keep Nash and Stat....
I'll take Maceo Baston, cederick Simmons. and Saer Sene all for for 3, 2, and 1 mill.... then hope Hill comes reasonable again.
But the big question is.... How much dough do we have to spare ?

I'll spew if we went after Big Baby
There's about 3-4 guys I'd ponder switching teams if we got them
Nate, Davis, Kenyon Martin, Vujacic...ugh

Von is a guy I did not care about till this year. he showed some balls in how he played hard both ends of the floor. Of course I would love that on my team. Even if we keep JRich, is barbs our backup PG or SG? I just dont see time for him with our rotation

yeah it all depends on how much cap space and who's here and not after the amare sage. but Gortat would be my first choice in a best of all possible worlds.

Jrich + Wallace for KMart + Balkman + Hart + S&T Kleiza 30/4. I really like this deal for some reason.
I like KMart's defense still, and think he can be good with another true PG like Nash.
Amar'e/Lopez/Amundson
Martin/Balkman/Amundson
Clark/Dudley/Balkman
Kleiza/Barbosa/Dudley
Nash/Dragic/Barbosa
We take on Martin's contract, but we get rid of JRich's AND get something in return for Wallace in Kleiza. I don't know if I like this better than Wallace for Chandler, but it's an option.

According to the AZ republic, the suns are interested in Antonio McDyess, Chris Wilcox and Channing Frye along with Hill.
Im interested in Wilcox and Frye, not interested in McD and not so much in Hill.
