Does anyone else think that Lightning Lou is a terrible nickname? Me and my buddy's got stuck on "Sweet Lou" when they called him that durning the begining of last season and I think it should stick! who else is with me? "Sweeeeeet Looooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!"

Since he never makes 3's we always used to shout "Sweet Lou for two!" LOL! At the games though it'd be a lot of "Looooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!"

I'm not sure where the "Lightning Lou" moniker came from, but did it have anything to do with a certain T. Leander? Seriously, he seems to be so enamored with giving players nicknames and coming up with cheesy Leander-isms that he hopes sticks (and he gets credit for, of course). Sorry Tom, but you're no Al McCoy.

I personally like "Sweet Lou" and simply, "Loooooouuuuuuu." When they were discussing what a good nickname would be for Lou, my idea was.... "Amund Joy". lol Come on, that's a good play on words. He is a 'joy' to watch (if all the players on the Suns played with his heart and passion, the entire team would be a joy to watch as well). Ah, but I digress.....

+1. I've been calling him Sweet Lou all along and sent the guy a message to his Suns.com blog when the results of the nickname contest where announced.
Lightning Lou is ... turrible.

Let's just ignore the whole thing and consider that his name is and always has been Sweet Lou.

and eddie johnson, who is easily the least charming person of all time. on air, sometimes he's so thick its hilarious, but other than that nothing he says is interesting. i met him once at a public service event and he was rude. maybe it was a bad day... or maybe he's just the least charming person ever.

i think i use a diff nickname everytime i refer to blue lou lou amundson. see right there thats a new one

My girlfriend asked for a picture with EJ and tom leander, and he looked so pissed when she asked him! At least he smiled for the camera...
