Trade JRich for Camby and then sign

Post#1 » by statisback » Sat Jul 4, 2009 4:23 am

Dahntay Jones for the MLE as the SG. Hopefully Hill stays.

PG - Nash, Dragic
SG - Jones, Barbosa
C - Camby, Lopez
PF - Amare, Clark
SF - Dudley, Hill

Don't think that team will get us very far.

Well if we dont do anything then our team looks like:

PG - Nash, Dragic
SG - JRich, Barbosa
C - Lopez
PF - Amare
SF - Hill

I would think adding Camby and Jones would be a huge improvement

I love the idea of signing Jones (ive posted that idea many times before), however we will not end up with Camby, let alone for JRICH. They have Gordan who does everything JRICH does, but at 10 million dollars less. That makes Gordan>JRICH.

Jones is dirty and his defense is overrated. Our lineup right now isnt complete, so your argument is fallacious.

You're also ignoring the fact that the clippers just traded a frontcourt player for a wing, and now you think theyll trade another one of their frontcourt players for an overpriced wing?

again this is not NBA live so you can't just throw in a garbage player/terrible contract and expect to get a DPOY back...

even if you are trading with the clippers

I believe the Clippers threw in nothing and got back a DPOY...

Nothing (which is really cap room/trade exception) is greater than a mediocre SG with a big contract.

Hate to say it cause JRich is one of my favorite players from his time in GS.

I think the Paper Clips would take a look at J-Rich for Camby. The hard thing about that is finding the right filler to make salary and talent match.

I still think getting Kirlenko out of the deal for J-Rich would be interesting. There is now some anecdotal proof that Utah is thinking similarly in the fact that they explored trading Kiri for McGrady. Richardson and Tucker for Kiri. Kiri becomes 6th man, or works in the lineup at the 3 and 4 positions behind Chandler or Amare.

^that's because Mcgrady is EXPIRING

And Clips have Gordon, I don't see why they'd crowd their young 2/3 with JRich

If Hill leaves, JRich for AK could be quite interesting, but AKs contract is hideous so it's never gonna happen.

Nash
Barbs
AK
Amare
Chandler

That's a blocktastic frontcourt

That is pretty good blocking frontcourt.
