I think so, but maybe more because that's how I want it to be.

Robert Sarver will be driving one day. He'll slowly bring his Mercedes to stop at a red light on Van Buren where he will procure a date for the night. (Is Van Buren still the street, been 10 years since I was there?) Unfortunately Sarver is so cheap he will decline the lookers in favor of the tooth missing bargain in a dark dark alley. He will take her to his room only to discover that she is in fact a he. Also, our savior tranny is a rabid Suns fan who will then hold Sarver hostage for money. Sarver will be sold back into freedom for millions. Then said gap-toothed tranny will in turn buy the Suns from Sarver with said ransom money and build a championship franchise.

Fact. That is what Sarver is probably up to in his spare time. I have more faith in a gap-toothed tranny she-devil in rebuilding a championship franchise than Sarver.
