Interesting...

The only way I can see it happening though is if the Suns keep Amare because what incentive would Wade have for comming than? Unless he perfers dry heat to humid heat or something. Unless they plan on trading Amare and still remaining competitive? Who knows but I could see it happening possibly, Wade loves the warm weather and besides Miami, Phoenix would be the only warm weather city with capspace so who knows.

No way this happens unless we keep STAT for the long term and have a few other good pieces around him. Wade won't come if we're not contending.

Nets have a better shot at Lebron than NY does with Harris, Lopez, Williams core.

But yeah, only way we'd even have a shot is if we kept Amare, but even then it probably wouldn't be enough. Only way we can attract anyone really good next yr is by keeping Amare. Having that established star is vital.

Nets apparently will have space for two max FA's in 2010 as well. And we all know Lebron and Bosh intends to play together, so it's kinda all set.

Well, if Kerr and the boys in the FO are adamant that the Suns need an injury prone Wade next to an injury prone Amare, why not propose this trade:

Nash + Richardson for Wade (and maybe Chalmers if Kerr magically became a GM overnight)

If Chalmers falls through, our backcourt'd be admittedly shaky, but still, wouldn't a Wade/Barbosa combo be completely awesome? Wade slashing with the option to drop it off to Amare or outlet to LB... beauty in motion. Untraditional, but Wade would effectively run the point on offense and guard the 2 spot on the other end... I sort of like it.

Could this work?

Can't believe people follow this guys twitter page... Still waiting for something IHG said that will actually happen, I can picture 'flash' in a Suns uni though, it looks swell

Are you kidding? Miami would never do that.

Would love it, but it would pretty much take Wade wanting to come here for it to happen. Don't see it happening because Sarver is too cheap to actually contend. But we might have the pieces in 2010...

Amare
Clark
Barbosa
Lopez
Dudley
Amudson

Add a legit center, a point and Wade, and that's a 3rd seed in the west at least.

These trades where we get anything - let alone DWYANE WADE - for JRich are bordering on stupid

Teams may have capspace in 2010 like the Suns but how many of those teams are in warm weather cities? That automatically gives the Suns a huge advantage. Even if they can't land a guy like him there will be others.

Here is why there is that ever so slim chance that Miami goes for it:

2010.

Miami's capspace will be ridiculous, and supposedly other than NY, they are looking to make the biggest splash in FA.

I know that these trades will never happen, but come on, this is July, the month which is now unfortunately the best time to be a Suns fan: the time when we can dream that our GM fixes what he once broke.

But being at least somewhat realistic should be a priority. That's not.

It's in the realm of possibility... maybe... Granted it is hard to imagine Miami getting someone better than Wade (i.e. Lebron) in FA, but don't you like thinking of Wade on a young Phoenix Suns roster?

Grrrr - that's ruiner's point, you can get warm and fuzzies thinking of Amare and Wade and Howard and LeBron, but you have to look at the OTHER TEAM (two to trade, remember?) and think WHY do they do a trade like that?

Return to Phoenix Suns
