Amare Rumblings continue?

Found this article on ESPN. Here's the relevent part:

I'm hearing fresh, credible rumblings that the Suns remain open to the possibility of trading Amare Stoudemire before the season, offsetting recent suggestions that they were leaning toward taking Stoudemire completely off the trade market between now and training camp.

Trading Stoudemire, however, continues to be complicated, just as it was around the February trade deadline and again at the draft. Any team interested is going to want some sort of clear indication that it can re-sign Stoudemire, who has the right to become a free agent on July 1, 2010.

The news, furthermore, that Stoudemire also needed additional work last week on his surgically repaired eye adds to a medical history that -- in spite of what ranks as the most emphatic comeback ever from microfracture knee surgery -- is bound to give suitors pause.

Suns president of basketball operations Steve Kerr acknowledged at a news conference in Phoenix earlier this week for the signing of Channing Frye that an extension for Stoudemire won't be considered until team officials can see Stoudemire play because "the eye situation was more serious than what we first thought."

Thought people might find this interesting so I shared it. Sorry if the topic is covered elsewhere. Feel free to lock if that is the case.

I'm starting to think we're lucky not to get Curry, i'd rather get Morrow, dude just lit up for 50 in SL and killed the Suns last year... Just not sure about a MAX contact for an injured player who only goes hard on offense

Thought you said the eye was fine Dez?

Looks like even Kerr isn't convinced. Another brilliant move by Kerr...Not! Go ahead and think that in private Stevie....No need to kill trade value by stating that in the press.

More worried about the knees, 26 is when micro-fractured knees go bad... Eye shouldn't be a prob

Cool - do you get a discount or something when you reach 300?

That is a bunch of BS Dez to say that 26 are when knees go bad after Micro surgery. Are you a doc or something to predict that his knees are gone because of the surgery? I guess Kidd and Kmart should be crippled by now since they are older right? The thing is, his knees can go out the first week of working out, first game, before the deadline or it might never happen in his career. NO ONE KNOWS! Thing is, since he has been hurt and off his feet, that is less wear and tear on his knees and allows a ton of rest and rejuvenation.

I wonder if kerr lies to his family as much as he lies to suns fans.

Is it relly necessary that Kerr comments everything on the press'
Is this guy stupid?
I prefer not have news that have news of this kind.
It is always the same and it is news more of a personal kind than of a sports kind.
He is probably the only GM on the league that is quoted in the press every two or three days with things like that. Amaré and his agent are no example, for sure. But Kerr should keep his mouth closed for a while.
Discretion should be the first virtue of a GM, not the last one.

Kerr only commented on Amare's surgery because Amare was dumb enough to tweet it to the world.
