ROSTER: Is This It? (Plus, Alando Tucker News)

Post#1 » by TheMan44 » Sat Jul 25, 2009 9:14 am

So is this the final roster heading into 2009-2010?

If so, you're looking at a starting five of Frye, Amare, Hill, Rich, and Nash.
Then you're looking at a bench of Lopez, Lou, Duds, Barbs, and Drag. You've also got Clark to pick off minutes from both Lou and Dudley.

It appears if Suns are going to make a move - I assume they gonna release Sasha Pavlovic to save 4 million then sign another guy for a veteran minimum price like Anthony Carter. Or a big man like Brian Skinner for same low price. My opinion.

--------------------------------------------

And oh, here's a trainer's update for you from my contacts with these guys:::

Suns' Alando Tucker is at it working hard again. He was working out in Las Vegas with Koby Carl and Yaroslav Korolev (remember him from Clippers?) and he was saying how he really wishes he gets a chance to play big minutes for the Suns this season. He is behind Barbosa and Richardson - and he obviously knows that - but staying optimistic. The trainer for these guys is really giving em a hard time - in a good way. Doing some fancy plyometrics to improve explosive power and quickness.

I still believe in Tucker..

I think so, other than cutting / trading Sasha to acquire (or sign is we cut him) a big, we won't be doing much. We won't sign a vet PG or any PG for that matter because if it's for injury concerns we're going to do the signing if and when the injury occurs, we're not going to give out another guaranteed contract, unless its absolutely necessary or unless we cut/trade Pavs to acquire a big. That's about the only move I see happening outside of trading Richardson for expirings, which looks like it won't happen because no one wants him. So our lineup will look like:

Nash/Dragic/Barbs
JRICH/Barbs/Tucker
Hill/Clark/Dudley
Frye/Clark/Amundson
Amar'e/Lopez/Amundson

Maybe we get another big to take away minutes from Amundson/Lopez, but that's the end of it. Not bad, looking like a solid 6th seed at least.

I would rather not talk about players that we don't need, like anyone at the SG, SF, and PF position. Can we do that?

yep - some true; some not so true

I think IHG reports the talks going on- but problem is - they are "talks" and not "confirms done deals" - big distinctioon

as for wafer - it could still happen

i still think the suns have to add another big and will use the pavlovic and tucker contracts to get that done

hehehe IHG 's wake hit .net and caused internal grumblings that seemed to be building amongst the thinskinners. Oh, to have their freedoms of expression. It comes with a price, and is not for the faint... (its like watchin a good porno...you want to join in but would probably just mess it up) They were so happily triumphant to 'steal' him from here. Glad to see, in the land of the free, he was dealt with, decisively. (You know the poorbastard still reads both sites)

As Tim the Enchanter would say .... "I warned yooo"

These off season postings have been the accumulation of the past couple of years of frustration.... and I do not think it has reached the pinnacle.

Hey sd1306 -

I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but notice your dudley signature in relation to your Suns depth chart above.

Your signature says Studley for Most Improved Player - but your depth chart has Dudley as the third string small forward behind rookie Clark and veteran Hill.

How's that possible?

If anything, Dudley will be a 7th man for the Suns. He is gonna be Grant's direct backup and Amundson will be Amare's direct backup. Kerr said Clark has to show he belongs and Gentry is not gonna throw in the rookie to take minutes from guys who have been in the NBA for 3-4 years.

I think Clark is the odd man out - not Dudley. Dudley is gonna be an improved player and will log loads of minutes.,

really? what has sarver done thats so horrible? ever since he has been here we have had top 5 nba payroll here and he WANTS to win and hates losing...this team wont be average or too bad for too long just watch, of course it will take time but sarver isnt as bad as people claim he DOES spend money you dont have top 5 nba payroll and not

in fact when he traded for shaq he was actually taking on more money

Sarver is a bad owner. Myopic.

Sarver realized that the Suns weren't going to win with Shaq on the books, so he dumped him. Total panic move. Same **** with Porter. Weren't going to win, so they dumped him -- rightly so in both cases.
The Phoenix Suns - 54-28. Projected Record: 54-28 3rd Seed

The Phoenix Suns - 2010-2011 Projected Record: 30-52 3rd lottery pick.

Yeah, and isn't his twitter gone now? I hope he's not being held in a Suns dungeon being beaten by Sarver for making his already-terrible negotiating skills even harder...

ummm, are you f'n kiddin me? or is this Sarver himself posting?
there is not enough time in the day to explain what a train wreck of an owner he has been. Sarver is what Terry Porter is to coaches or what Steve Kerr is to GMs. Basically, he is the worst imaginable. He is the laughing stock of all his peers. Get a clue, dude.

Laughing stock may be... but certainly, his first yr sideline antics vaulted him into the 'guy most likely to get screwed' lead. Surrounding himself with yesmen friends has not helped his cause. The Egomaniac loaded his boat with puppets, and we have been paying the price since then.
