Honestly, this entire thing is one of the most effed up things I've seen in a long time. Dude needs professional help and needs to get out of his house, stop listening to music, stop dancing with his pants off, stop talking about how the world misunderstands him. He needs to get some fresh air or stop taking his prescription drugs because the dude is not SANE.

Marbury was an elite pg with the Suns and if he never was traded he probally still would have been putting up similar numbers today. The distractions he encountered in NY messed up what could have been a hall of fame career. Given the choice between the Suns version of Marbury and Nash I would take Marbury anyday of the week over Nash.

Marbury was too selfish to be anything great. He had a few good seasons, that was it. Nash had the work ethic and marbury didn't. Now the lowlife is crying on a balcony.

Averaging 8 assists a game in his career is far from selfish. Off the court he wasn't either, I would consider making a pair of shoes that sells for $15 to be a good thing when so many athletes try to make money off the public.

As for work ethic I would have to disagree on that, Marbury gave effort on both sides of the floor when he was on the Suns, both offense and defense while Nash only gives it on the offensive side.

They're non starting all star numbers, and every season before and after those were disappointing.

For once I have to agree with Maryvale.

Marbury was a fantastic player for us. In his prime, Marbury was the toughest PG to defend in the league. Someone polled all guards in the NBA back in 2002 and the consensus was Marbury was the most difficult to defend.

Marbury was like a running back when he would charge into the paint. There was no stopping him. I remember when he won Game 1 of the 2003 playoffs in OT at San Antonio with a 3pt shot at the buzzer. The guy was really under appreciated and the Suns only dealt him once he was charged with DUI on the SR-51. While he was in Phoenix, he was a great player, an under appreciated player, and remember, he took both Amare and Barbosa under his wing. In fact he bought Barbosa an Escalade during his rookie season and the two still talk frequently.

Also remember that he averages around 8apg for his career so the morons who say he is not a play maker are obviously talking out of their behinds...

It's a shame how his career had diminished, but Marbury should be respected for what he did for the Suns for the 1.5 years he was here.
