What can the Suns get for Sasha Pavlovic

Post#1 » by Qwigglez » Wed Jul 29, 2009 5:37 pm

If the Suns are indeed waiting to package Sasha Pavlovic with another player what kind of value do you think the Suns can get for him?

Here is a list of trades that are made possible since the salaries match up.

Sasha Pavlovic
Alando Tucker

for
Raja Bell
Nazr Mohammed
Vladimir Radmanovic
Jeff Foster
Dan Gazduric
Chris Duhon
Jason Kapono
Brendan Haywood
Shane Battier
James Posey
Nick Collison
Matt Harpring
Kyle Korver

Or maybe since Nash said "Nobody gave us Pau for nothing." Maybe we can get that type of trade from someone.
Here is an unrealistic scenario (about as unrealistic as the Pau for Kwame trade).
Sasha Pavlovic
Alando Tucker
Louis Amundson/Jared Dudley/Robin Lopez (interchangeable)
2nd round pick (CHA)
for
Stephen Jackson

Reasons why the Warriors may be looking to move him. They are stacked at SG and SF. Azubuike, Belenelli, Maggette, Morrow, Randolph, and Jackson. He takes up too many minutes for their young roster.
Now if this did happen, the Suns would be stacked offensively and dividing minutes among Richardson, Hill, Jackson, and Barbosa would be hectic. But still, I can dream right

There is a restriction on Pavlovic being traded alongside another player.

Does anyone know when this restriction is lifted?

Which makes me think, and more so HOPE, that the reason the Suns still have Sasha is they are waiting for the time limit to pass and they can move him and help the team

I will give Sarver a pass if he buyouts and Wallace and uses Pavlovic to help the team; and would have been fine trading Wallace and waiving Pavlovic - but if he just waives Pavlovic now - then I think that is not using either of the two contracts as assets wisely like other teams have used contracts like Pavlovic to help them.

Jeez Qwiggs.... just when yer comin outta the woods...you plunge back into darkness with a deal for Steven Jackson. The same Steven Jackson whom we drafted, then waived when/after he became confrontational with the payroll department when he received his first check ??? He actually demanded them to pay him in cash...

Not that his banking practices matter anymore.... but really... you'd be happy adding another chuckin SG ???

Damn, that makes it impossible to get anything good for him... Expiring deals are very popular along with a legit player

There was news about the Jazz needing to take out a loan to fund Millsap's new contract... if we could get Korver for Pavlovic, that kid would thrive in our system. Sure, throw in Tucker. Sign two SL guys and go for it.

Man, I told ya I was dreaming.
It was just something to add from what Nash said about the Gasol trade.
I'd say a Center or PF, but there aren't any available on the market right now especially in that price range. )I would have died if the Suns got Okafor...)
And I just think the Suns need a reliable third scoring option (Nash, Amare). Richardson is too inconsistent. Barbosa is good for 16-20 points off the bench. And Jackson is probably one of five players to average 20, 5, and 5 last season. I think the only other players to do that is Lebron, Kobe, Wade, and Chris Paul (going off the top of my head)
Plus we'd have a monster 7 man roster lol.
Nash, Richardson, Jackson, Hill, Amare, Barbosa, Frye. Who needs defense when you can put up 130 a night (sarcasm)

Yeah the Blazers gave Millsap a contract of like 10 mil this year and it drops to about 6-7 the next year just to **** up the Jazz if they matched the offer.
Korver would be nice, but he is very one dimensional and is easily readable in the playoffs.
I'd hate to do this but I would if we had to
Sasha Pavlovic
Alando Tucker
Leandro Barbosa

for
Carlos Boozer

Beast front lineup.

Yes. I like that proposed Boozer for Barbs/Tuck/Pavs deal. Works under the salary. Allows Suns to sign guards Von Wafer and Anthony Carter.

Nice solid lineup:

C amare-lopez
F boozer-frye
F hill-dudley
G rich-wafer
G nash-dragic

11 lou amundson
12 anthony carter
13 earl clark <--------- sorry, earl. you're good, but this team is deep and you're a rookie.

Boozer is a notch down offensively from Stoudemire while being a notch up in rebounding. Both are face up PFs and wouldn't compliment each other.

I wouldn't give up Barbs for a guy who is already getting traded. Even if we had him, he's still going to Miami in a season anyways.

Qwigglez...

Beast front court lineup? Lol...

Stoudemire's BEST partner front court to warrant "BEAST" is Dwight Howard.. or a 6'11 Shawn Marion (ahem Garnett comes to mind also)...or No.21 at the Spurs.

Anything less is an opportunity for the other team's mediocre big man to have a career high points wise.

So let me get this straight.

We trade our 6th man for a one year rental who we can't afford to resign; in order to form the "beast lineup" AKA Worst Defensive Frontcourt in NBA?

Richardson, Pavlovic, Amundson, Tucker in a three-way with UTA and CHI that nets us Hinrich, T. Thomas, and CJ Miles

Nash/ Hinrich/ Dragic
Miles/ Barbosa
Hill/ Dudley
Stoudemire/ T. Thomas/ Clark
Frye/ RoLo
