So they have a thread and the Lakers fans are basically crying about what Nash said so I just go and say why are you guys so upset about what he said? Than they get all defensive and start acting crazy. Than when I'm trying to debate without trolling they just start saying stuff about the Suns and get off the Nash subject. Than one of their mods comes along and breaks it up saying I was the one trolling for asking a question

I tell you guys, the Lakers fan base has got to be the most moronic fan base in the NBA.
So now I'm going to ask fellow Suns fans what you think about this line that Nash said
"No one gave us Pau Gasol for nothing"
http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns/ar ... h0729.htmlSo what do you guys think, was Nash right to say that?

Yes, he was right to say it. Lakers fans whine about everything. Nothing new there.

It's as simple as this: The Lakers do not get into the 2008 Finals or win the 2009 NBA title WITHOUT Pau Gasol.

they would barely even make the playoffs. they got away with murder with that trade. I love how people think all the sudden Kobe is better than ever and is the MVP because the lakers are now winning. Guess what, he has not improved, it's the rest of the lakers and that trade that got them to where they are. Not him. Pau is the main reason the Lakers are championship contenders. Look how they did before he came along. Without him, they are barely a .500 team and barely make it into the playoffs. How easily the (Please Use More Appropriate Word) Laker fans forget that their squad was so bad that Kobe was threatening to leave the team if they didn't improve. The league has to be fixed when you get an All-star for some of the worst players in the league.

Every GM in the NBA would of made that trade. For some reason the Memphis one is on the Lakers payroll.

Before Pau Gasol: we beat them in the playoffs 2 years in a row
After Pau Gasol: they win a championship in their 2nd consecutive Finals
I don't understand what they're whining about.

Steve Nash says it like it is. By the way, he does have some clout in the league. Here in Vancouver we're getting a pre season game with Phoenix against Portland on Oct.22. Nash announced it yesterday or the day before and tickets are going on sale saturday. It's already being hyped in the papers and it should sell out.
My guess is that if Nash wasn't so hugely popular in this part of the world the NBA wouldn't care about us.

I wouldn't be surprised. There were a few teams pursuing Gasol the same year the trade happened. The Bulls were one of them. I'm pretty sure they were prepared to offer more than Kwame and a second rounder.

Most Laker fans know it was a steal, every team has fans who act stupid... Remember that idiot who said Steve Nash is better than Chris Paul?

Good. They should shine their Larry O'Brien trophy with their tears and use it as lube to shove it up their collective asses.
