Joakim Noah

It is just me or does he fit perfectly in our system as a 'center''? Long, athletic, a bruiser and can run the floor. Suns need that guy who gets under people's skin and right now we are a bunch of softies (except maybe Lou)... My ideal choice would be one of the Clipper 'centers' - Camby, D Jordan or maybe Kaman, they are stacked at 'center' but according to their fans don't want J-Rich and chances of doing buisness within the division are slim. So back to Noah... Nash, J-Rich, Hill and Amare can score all day long so we wouldn't need offensive production from him, just pull some boards, d-up and f*ck $hit up!

No on Noah or Kaman and yes on Camby or Jordan.

So you'd take Frye or Lopez over Noah next year at 'center'....? Wow! But yeah Deandre Jordan is a beast even though he destroyed Amare's eye last year

Right team, wrong guy. Wasn't it Thornton's monster dunk, and off arm that hit Amare in the eye?

we all joined in on telling that new guy to stop posting new threads for every player... and yet ??????

Anyway, Noah - PASS. Camby is the only one out of that list i would want along side amare.

Yeah ur right it was Thorton, damn that team has talent. Wish they would dump one of their 5 centers

Noah is a mini, future Camby in the happening. He has attitude problems, and a much worse offensive game, but if he can develop a half decent 14footer, or even if not, he's a great option for us at center now and for the future. Problem is, we have nothing the Bulls would take in a trade to acquire him out of Amar'e, and frankly, there's probably no way Amar'e leaves after the Hill/Nash extensions and Frye signing. He's going to sign his extension, and by 2011 at the latest, we'll be contending again. End of story. /thread

Noah is a bruiser!   Thats news to me. Noah is overrated and is not the perfect center for us. We need a guy that does not clog the lane and has a good mid range game. And yes, as of now, I would take Frye over him, and the potential of what lopez can do, I would take him too over Noah. Camby would be perfect, but wont happen and will not make us contenders.

Why the Noah hates? :D Why is everyone keep saying that he's overated. Didn't he just average 10/13/2.3/2.1 in 38 mins against Celtics in the playoff ? Dude even average 6.7/7.6/1.4 in only 24 mins during regular season. Aren't those numbers that Lopez is projected to have potentially in the peak of his career. =D. IMO, he's better than Dalembert with more upside and cheaper contract.

Problem with Noah is he has no shooting range, we need to have someone that can hit an outside jumper with a little regularity so that he can draw his defender away from the post, otherwise our offense sputters with all the congestion down low.......

The thing is, it doesn't matter who we would take at center next year. We have Frye and Lopez and don't have Noah so we take Frye and Lopez over Noah.
We have nothing to trade for Noah and his trade value I assume would be relatively high since he posted pretty solid numbers against the Celtics in the playoffs. You are basing Noah's talent to that of a 7-game span, just because he did that against a half-Celtic team doesn't mean he can put up those numbers every game.
Right now I'll take Frye over Noah. Guarantee Frye averages at least 10 and 6.

Noah has one of the highest rebounds per 48 in the league, he is mobile, he block shots, and he really bothers people defensively. Nah, we don't want him. We'd rather have a center that wants to float on the perimeter and doesn't like physical contact.

Is Noah remotely attainable?

Besides Amare, we have nothing CHI would part with for Noah. the dude was a beast in the Playoffs against BOS, I still remember that breakaway dunk on Pierce as being a highlight last year...

Deandre Jordan is tall but he doesnt get it. I like Noah in part of his motor. He may not be strong or doesnt have a jumpshot but He can help defend the paint, play physical, and has a non stop motor. I do not think Chicago will let him go any time soon. He may have a mouth but I do not think Chicago will let him go just cuz of that.

Chicago guy here.We folks here believe besides Derrick, he is almost a untouchable. After he got in shape(took half a season), Hippy Man got his game in high gear. A elite center he aint, but he has a hella BBIQ, a slick passer , can swing betwwen the 4- 5. a fiecre rebounder. But you can have #24.I really believe that he will soon become a top 10 center. Also JoNo has gained muscle which you need to battle in the low post and i hear he is working on some low post moves.I predict that he will have 12- 14 ppg, 10-12 rpg, 2ast pg, 2blks pg, 1.5 asstpg

I wish we could get Noah but we can't. And you can't seriously say you'd rather have Frye than Noah. That is such an insane claim.

Eh, there's no way we were ever gonna get Horford, the 2007 ATL pick was top 3 protected.
No matter which team got what pick, Oden was going 1st/Durant 2nd/Horford 3rd that year.

If Suns woulda got the 4th pick I think we woulda taken Conley, if it landed 5th-7th we prolly woulda taken Noah or Thad Young. Any of those 3 guys would obviously be a lot more usefull then Robin Lopez tho...

Noah would be a good fit next to Amare with his length/inside defense/shot blocking/rebounding/hustle/abilty to get up and down court/athleticism, but his trade value is way too high right now after his impressive playoff performances and 2nd half of season after he got back in shape.
Shoulda made a move for him and Hinrich + filler by offering Shaq at the start of last season, too late now.

We coulda had pretty much a replica of him in Tyson Chandler instead, but Sarver likes cash and free cap space better.
