Suns Depth Chart: CBS is smoking something

Anybody working for CBS Sportsline?

They must be on something - the Suns depth chart there is way out of control.

Earl Clark starting power forward?

Dudley backup power forward?

Frye the 4th string power forward?

Grant Hill 3rd string shooting guard?

Jason Richardson starting small forward?

last year we should've played a lineup of nash-barbosa-jrich-amare-shaq, sure we would've had no defense but we would've been unguardable. as much as i love grant hill he's not as good on offense as barbosa/jrich.

That's pretty good, but can't be our starting lineup. As to the OP, I'd rather play Nash/Rich/Hill/Clark/Amar'e than Nash/Rich/Hill/Frye/Amar'e any day of the week. Clark needs to start with the talent we have right now, no question. Unless we acquire a starting caliber C that would push Amar'e back to PF, I think it's safe to say we need to give Clark the starting spot and make it his to lose.

I agree. But I would want Studley in there to add some extra defense and hustle. Let Hill run the second unit, so we have some IQ helping Dragic and LB.

Your last line isn't true at all. People have to stop thinking that offense comes down to scoring points only. There is so much more going on then that. In crunch time, ask yourself who you would rather have on the floor out of the three. I would much rather have Hill.

You missed the best part of all the mistakes on that CBS page: "Chairman, CEO: Jerry Colangelo"

Did JC get the team back?!

That depth chart is laughable. The CBS sports department has really reached rock bottom. I remember years ago when they were respectable but honestly I question whether or not the writer even watched 5 suns games last year.

I just drafted Dudley in one of my fantasy NBA keeper leagues (DEEP league, hope he's the first F off the bench)

You know what's happened, they just haven't updated as the new players have been added.

They have put in Amare, Nash, Barbs, JRich, Clark, Lopez, Dragic etc into the most makeshift lineup they could.

Then they put Wallace and Pavlovic at the bottom of the charts at their respective positions.

Then after, when Hill and Frye officially signed, they just added them to the bottom again, rather than adjusting it all.

Beats me why they stuck Hill as a SG and Duds as a PF though. Maybe they are just (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

What a bunch of BS!! CBS is a joke.

Us true fans know the starting line-up will be:

PG: L. Amundson
SG: C. Frye
SF: G. Dragic
PF: L. Barbosa
C: D. Taurasi

Head Coach: Buddy Ryan

Ah yes. Very good point. Good looking out.

I see. They just stuck everyone is some makeshift slot back near draft-day when guys like Hill, Frye were all free agents. As they signed one by one - the web designers probably just stuck em into the end of the list for them to sort it all out when the season begins.

Makes sense..

Lol.
I would like to have Hill come off the bench because he doesn't possess nearly as much firepower as Barbosa and Richardson but I know that won't happen.
A lineup of Nash, Barbosa, Richardson, Clark, Amare would be nice to see in some scenarios, but maybe not every night. I would also love to see Clark beat Frye of the starting Power Forward slot. Frye is pretty good off the bench.
I hope Clark is motivated to play. I can't wait for the season to start.
