Good News: Lou making 80% of his FT's

Finally some encouraging news for a change:
To answer a question about Lou Amundson's shooting, we'll learn more when the practices are real and the shots come in front of 17,000 fans. But so far, so good. His shooting coach, Dave Love, has him starting with his elbow tighter to his body and is getting more consistency in the motion. Amundson, a 43 percent free throw shooter for his career, is making more than 80 out of 100 regularly.

80% FT in practice is still pretty bad, but a huge improvement

We got some damn good shooting coaches. Amare, Shaq, Marion and Lou were terrible FT shooters

Call me when he hits 800 out of 1000
Was painful watching him at the line last year. He had great form until the release, then it was a trainwreck.

I've seen alot worse! her is an example. It's called the one handed shot-put technique. The funny thing is after he (it looks like a man) misses, watch what he (i swear he has a cock) does!

Good to see he is working on this and is improving. He wont shoot 80%, but he wll most likely improve his numbers by 20%+.

Not that Lou gets to the line that often anyway, but it's good to know he'll shoot at a better clip when he does and won't be as much of a liability. I'd also like to see him pick up a short mid range shot.

yeah, with how athletic he is, and how active he is, if we can get him to be able to stick even short jumpers with some kind of consistency, he will be dangerous. Love his attitude, really hope the suns can develope him into something other than a hustle guy with hops, and give him time to develope some skills.

Can you see Lou with a reliable mid another KT?

I definitely wouldn't call you crazy if you gave me that comparison...but a comparison to KT is a couple years of hard work down the road for Lou. Lou would need to seriously solidify his rebounding to be a KT.

The guy Lou should be working with is K McHale. Seriously.

Interesting comparison. I think he'd need to bulk up a bit(KT was built like a tree trunk) and he'd have to work a lot on that jumper but that would be nice to see.
