Top 25 players

Post#1 » by TXSun » Fri Sep 18, 2009 12:17 am

Well at least we have 2 players withing the top 20. Can't really argue much against the list, but I would place both DWilliams and Melo in the top 10 replacing Pao Gasol and Duncan.

Although I hate the guy with a passion, Duncan deserves to be exactly where he is at on this list. He is without question the best PF in the NBA today, and will go down in history as one of the best to play the game. D-Will deserves top 10 though for sure, and drop Pau Gasol.

Amare is a bit high imo. He's still an injury concern and coming off a season where is missed 29 game after his eye fell out.

I'd put CB4 and Roy in front of him

I think Roy needs to slide up, and I think Tim Duncan is a little high given his current age and factoring everything is - I think he would easily have been at least #5 a couple years ago but some of these players are frankly better than him now. Also factoring in age and point in his career, I was a bit surprised to see Ray Allen make the list.

I hate the Spurs (Ginobili, Bowen, the FRIGGIN MASCOT!!!! :upset: ), but Timmy is the truth, even at his age. He has never been ultra athletic or even quick, he just dose everything right, post moves, setting picks, defense (with the refs help), he dose it all, can you really even at his age site a weakness.

TD is definitely a bit high even though he's still a top 3 PF in the league. His health issues and likely a slightly lesser role this season should push him down. I'd put him in the top 10 still.

Ray Allen shouldn't have been top 25, he's still dangerous with his shooting but he's definitely declined in every other aspect of his game.

May be crazy, but I'd put Rose in Ray Ray's spot, I think he'll have a bigger role this season offensively with Gordon gone and he's as promising as any young player.

I'd put Roy in top 10 and take Gasol out. Gasol wouldn't be top 10 without Kobe, but Roy is pretty much doing his thing solo.

I agree, Rose would be a good top 25 candidate. Gasol is a little high for sure, I'd take Roy any day over him.

I've never though PG was good as he's reckoned to be by the sports media.

Amare should be ahead of Gasol and Anthony, other than that the rankings seem about right.

Amare is better than the soft choke artist known as Nowitzki and is AT least Top 8-3 in the NBA. This is not about who gets injured it is about talent and real performance. When Amare is healthy their is no question he is elite. Roy and some of those others got next but haven't done anything in the playoffs.

Nowitzki has a Finals appearance thanks to the micro fracture surgery that year otherwise Amare/Nash would have their chip. Amare owns Dallas.

To me, no playoff performance, no votes. Regular season performance is nothing compared to playoff performance
