OT: P90X

Post#1 » by Austin » Wed Sep 23, 2009 6:06 pm

I just started P90X on Monday, and let me just tell you it is killing me right now! It's hard to stick to the diet and do the workouts every day, but I am gonna stick with it through the full 90 days.

Is anyone else doing/done P90X? How do/did you like it?

I have the p90x and I really like it. The ab workout is insane, I can't get through it all....yet. I have to take breaks. The stretching is good but also a challenge. I love the cardio. So far so good. I hope you get the results you want.

My friend let me borrow it, but I went to North Carolina for the summer and didn't bring it with me. He took it back now =[
I will ask if I can borrow it again.

<-- Used to work for Beachbody.

It is an amazing program if you can stick to it. You will have an extra wall of muscle in your core if you complete it successfully.

You wont bulk up to amazing proportions, but you will be cut like a mofo.

p.s. Tony Horton is a spaz irl.

Definitely works. I did it for a while, but opted for a routine where the maintenance portion was more manageable.

Good spaz, or bad spaz???

I'm looing to get cut and lean, not big and buff. I started at 184, and 20% body fat. I want to be around 170-175 and around 10-15% body fat (or less of course!) when I'm done. The program is killer so far! I am actually having a lot of fun doing it! The Arms and Shoulders routine didn't work out for me as hard as I'd hoped, but maybe that is because I didn't use the right weight. I needed 20's for most of the exercises and only have 15's or 25's... D'oh! LOL

I use it along with another program im doing just because i feel the mix between the 2 works amazingly for me. i do the 300 workout 4 times a week and on friday i do the p90x ab ripper, saturday is full day off, and sunday i do the p90x yoga.

the yoga kicks my ass, i already have a strong core so the ab ripper is do able but this stuff can def. show results if you try and keep up with the diet and the workout.

that's interesting. I'm planning on doing it every day for 90 days, then switching to doing the workouts every other day, so my body gets a rest, but still works hard.

Oh yeah, & I tried the Yoga for the first time yesterday! It was really hard, but I completed it. I definitely need to work on my flexibility & balance though... hopefully by day 90 I'll be as limber and strong as those dudes on TV

The 300 workout is just insane. Good on the outside, vomiting bleeding and crying on the inside.

I did it for one day and was extremely sore for a week. I think my flaw was not having the correct weights. The weights I used were heavier than what was being used in the video since it's all I had. Not a good choice, also I over did it on the first session and was too worn out to do the second session properly.

i will probably try it again someday soon.. but try to ease into it this time.

but you want to challenge yourself each day. on the lifting days, if you're not sore the next day, in my opinion, you didn't work hard enough ;)

and you will probably see me at the one at UA i dont plan on going back home for the next couple weeks its still up in the air though.. ill text you if i go! i havent really been to garba since freshmen year haha so i will feel just a little outta place. :-?

Haha nah man it'll be awesome. I bring a bunch of my white friends all the time so there's no way you'll feel as out of place as they do lol. Besides, you'll blend in with the massive sea of brown! I think I saw Sachin there last weekend?

I just downloaded the videos and bought some the equipment needed. I'll be starting it either tomorrow or in 2010.
