What can we expect from Goran this year? Can he step up and be a solid backup to steve nash?

Probably could have gone in here
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=946493But anyway, if Frye has one The Dragician can have one

I think he's used straight away by Gentry, and we won't see Barbosa at the point unless there's foul trouble or Hill isn't on the floor. Gentry has faith in Dragic and he instilled confidence in him immediately - something Porter seemingly refused to think about, let alone do.
I loved seeing Dragic just step it up in 1-2 plays, forcing a turnover or taking it hard for a dunk - we need more of that, and HE needs more of that to get his confidence up. The kid is still overwhelmed by the whole NBA experience most likely, and as long as we don't expect to play 20-25 this year, he'll be fine.
I'm expecting more rebounds than assists for some reason, I think he'll play PG 95% of the time, but we might see some Nash/Dragic if we're playing a team with a small backcourt (I don't remember seeing them play together at all last year - anyone know?). Could do him a world of good, like it did Barbosa.
Anything around 6-8pts, 2-3reb, 2-3asst and decent % and I'll be happy...AND 15mins minimum, so nash is getting some rest.

There were a few minutes of him playing the 2, but I think it was more just to get him more comfortable being a floor leader by being on the floor at the same time with Nash
I also think we will still see barbosa at the point for a bit, and with his development in ball handling the last few seasons, I am very content with barbosa running point as well.
Our lack of a solid Center is my biggest concern for the team.

We are going to get chewed up on the glass, but that is nothing new to us when you look at our Pre-Shaq +/- with regards to rebounds.
Unless we have one of the five legitimate centers that can run our speed, it's really immaterial. Stoudemire will slide into the C slot and we won't play a lick of front court defense and that will be the story of our season.
In terms of Dragic, and with respect to what TASTIC said, it's about confidence. I absolutely love how Dragic told everyone he was going to shut Rubio down... and then delivered. What an amazing statement/performance.
I've heard audio of Gentry actually telling him to play loose and make mistakes. Micromanagement has never breeded a floor general. Guys like Nash and Kidd became Nash and Kidd because they were allowed to run the offense.
That's why Avery Johnson and Kidd butted heads.
That's why Terry Porter and Nash butted heads.
Let's hope Alvin Gentry can give Dragic the confidence to become that.

What Goran really need to do is grow that hair out a little - he's rocking the Kevin McHale/Frankenstein 'do and it's not working

Or he needs to get a buzz cut. Either one would be preferable to the dork look he has right now.

Link to article/source? I'd love to see that. And also I'd love to see him pull that on, say, VaGinobili.
