GSW regretting not trading with Phoenix?

I wonder if Golden State is regretting supposedly going back on their word on draft day. Curry and Ellis possibly unable to coexist ... now Brandan Wright possibly out of the entire season after his shoulder injury. Seems like they're having a streak of bad luck related to pieces from the rumored draft day trade.

screw it they regret it or not, GOOD for us. The last thing we need in the west is to be plagued by injuries. I have a feeling Amare will be a beast this season. Ellis needs to shut the hell up and play or go ride a moped into something.

Unless the Suns were getting a very good deal, you never trade a top player in the league to a division rival. The deal as originally proposed was a solid 10-10 center, two unproven young players and an unproven rookie. Think about it, if none of those guys panned out the best they got was a 10-10 center for a top 15 player in the league?

Anyway bad luck for them but I'm glad management in the end decided to see how Amare plays before they extend him or trade him as the last possible resort. He's in a contract year and should put up some great numbers.

I agree with MVF. You never trade a top player to a division rival when there's a very good chance that player is going to go off next time they meet. I NEVER liked the pieces we were getting for Amare despite all the talk about Amare's issues regarding his health, potential and ability to be a franchise guy. I'm very glad our FO ended the deal when Curry was taken off the table. Not that I like Curry much but if they didn't throw him in, it was a definite no-deal for me.

As for all the trouble with the Dubs, Wright's injury is just pure bad luck and you never want to see anyone get injured like that (unless it's down the line and we're fighting for a playoff spot). As for the Curry-Ellis and SJax drama, that's the product of the environment they're playing in and bad management.

Nellie is a pretty big part of the problem himself. In his role, how can you come out and back up Monta's comments about not being able to run with Curry? I don't care if its true, you are supporting lockerroom drama there. Adding Nellie's ego into the mix, you have enough ego there for 3 locker rooms.

As for the Amar'e trade, I'm glad we never sent out our superstar for parts and I never supported the trade. I don't know if GSW should regret it either though. They have some great pieces to build with. They just need to settle all of the ego issues and they have themselves a nice young team to run with.

If ego is the big issue here, GSW are not ready for Amare. Seeing how the Warriors roster is full of shot takers, ball handlers and no passers, they'll have have half their team wanting our when Amare's not getting touches and start complaining.

We barely have enough room for Amare's big head, GSW wouldn't hold him.

Amar'e is my 2nd favourite player so I am glad that he wasn't traded. But I'm a Suns fan first so I was not completely opposed to the trade. It was a lot of talent coming in and would've been a nice way to start rebuilding.

The thing is if Amar'e returns this year ready to go in the SSOL system, he could be deadly. The trade only made sense if Amar'e wasn't going to return, but I think the Suns could keep him if he plays like I know he can and earns a max contract. If Amar'e stays healthy and has another all-NBA season he will stay a Sun and everyone will be better off.

24 points, 10 rebounds, 1.5 blocks on 55-58% shooting and good defense. That's what we'll see from Amar'e this season. Book it.

Despite the questions about Curry and Monta playing together, Curry put up a terrible shooting night, but distributed the ball very well with 9 assists in 24 (if I remember correctly) minutes. Curry has not shot the ball well, as a whole, in his infant NBA career, but his passing performance last night was admirable.

Seems like you guys are the one that can't get over it. Why are you guys kept on bitching about the trade? It's funny how you kept on mentioning about GSW and the trade and posting thread about it. Go look at the GSw board you dumbasses. They are really high on Curry right now. Despite his low shooting, he has excellent vision and iq. 9 assists and 5 steals. Now i know why Don nelson wants him so much, so make our scorer scores even more... But seriously, you guys been posting about Monta and Curry not getting along, Bwright injury and all those. Worst of all, it's not even karma. The deal never went through, go read some articles before you assumed. Amare gonna go down with another injury and you'll be all crying about the trade. Don't bash on other teams, because it'll come back at you.

It's pretty easy. It's because Nellie agreed too. Nellie knows talent and knows how to use them. Nellie is very specific on the topic, it's only for matches. It doesn't even matter, we got Morrow who can shoot the ball hotter than the SUNS.

How is that karma? Bwright snapped his shoulder before, if you ever got your shoulder snapped like that, you'll know it'll always slipp out. He didn't get a surgery done last year because he wanted to compete. If that is Karma, Brooks with a broken foot is karma too right?

Eh too early to tell...if they suck by the all star break and Amare's beasting, then yeah. If Amare is sucking/pouting and Curry is doing really well, then I'd say it's the other way.

I can't tell if you're agreeing or disagreeing with me since all you did is reiterate Nellie's odd statement, but yeah it looks really bad for him to be "taking sides" after a controversial quote by Monta Ellis. What I said in my original quote, if you hadn't come in here in a fit of rage shooting before asking, is that you have the pieces in place so that as soon as everyone shuts their mouths up and worries about their own role you're in a great place as a franchise.

I'm over this Golden State thing

Leave it for the game threads, all this does is stir unnecessary crap before the season starts...

Very glad this trade never worked out.

Ellis, Curry or Randolph can only dream of being in Amare's class as an athlete and ball player. Curry and Ellis have extremely limited potential and will never be "max" level franchise players. Randolph is the only one of the three who has a reasonable chance of becoming an NBA superstar. Problem though is Amare's potential ceiling is unlimited, Randolph is looking at Lamar Odom best case. Good but not great.

Looks like they created a thread about the Suns now, didn't post on it cause I don't want to troll but it looks like most of them are upset
