Gotta say great job to the ladies. For those who don't like women's bball I was in your corner and still am a little bit. Honestly the Mercury and Fever played a great series back and forth back and forth it was fun I caught bits and pieces of it. I was at the game yesterday and saw them win it all. It was pretty cool but this thread is to congratulate the mercury but bring up the thought I'm sure we all had...
What would it be like if the clock hit 0.0 and the Suns won it all at home on a game 7? Say against Boston. I honestly can't think of a better feeling in the entire world. Once you become more than a fan and this team describes you as much as your hair color, eye color, height and weight, it becomes more than a game so much more. It's pride for your home town, overcoming adversity, and being able to say to everyone who doubted you, look where I am now. I just couldn't help but imagine Nash throwing the ball up in the air and hugging Hill and the guys going nuts. If we win a title I almost wish we could have Bell back on the team he was with us through the hard parts it'd be so sweet to have him he's a Sun to me always.
What would you do if the suns won a title? I can you tell you right now Suns go to the finals I'm going to every game in phoenix and on the road. I have some money saved away and I found some actually pretty safe easy ways to make money on the internet so I could make the money. I'd drop whatever amount to see that team play.
Winning the title would be the best day of my entire life. End of statement. Without question. I'm young am not married have no kids so I can't say that's better though it would be but right now being 20 hoping to be GM one day of the team I love, I can't describe how it would feel. I'd probably being by falling to the ground and just start crying uncontrollably. Probably for a good 10 minutes at least. I'm almost tearing up writing this thinking about it. Then I'd probably yell at the top of my lungs for about an hour or 2 drive around phoenix with my suns flags and celebrate the night. If the Suns do win that title with this crew I really hope they would go in the stands or come outside and celebrate with the fans. I realize this team probably won't win it all but I have an interesting feeling we could be taken aback by this team.
That day they do win it all though........will validate all of the agony, sorrow, disappointment, heartbreak, embarrassment, belittling from other fans, self-doubt, money and time spent. That one piece of jewelry and that one trophy would symbolize the whole town coming together and celebrating something we've all had to work at. The fans job is to not lose faith cheer as loud as possible and back the team unconditionally which is saying alot because Phoenix is the most bandwagon, fairweather sports town I've ever seen. It's pathetic. If fans were all like us we'd be a great sports town but that's not the case. I hate the fact I drive down the street on the freeway to school and see other team's supported I mean it sickens me.
Getting back on track what would you do if the Suns won the title? If they do all of us need to get together and celebrate.
