Ive seen this for a long time but couldnt think of a nice way to sum it up and read this on Hoopsworld (yes i know theyre questionable but this is right just look at the damn schedule)

"Interestingly the schedule doesn't really ease up for the Suns. They get just one game at home before a short trip to Houston and New Orleans. After a quick pit stop in Phoenix for two more they have six of the next seven on the road. That's a lot to ask - but if they can play as well as they did this past two weeks, Phoenix may very well establish themselves as a playoff team in the West"

The first half of the season is a living hell but it all has to balance out which means more home games/easier teams in the second half of the schedule

If we can come out of the first half of the season in decent shape (in the beginning of the season i was hoping for just .500 in the first half but hoping for a little better than that now) we should be able to crawl our way back up the second half

Just sayin be ready for the Suns to come crashing back down then come back

Nash has shown that if you give him the reigns, he can take just about any group of guys and get 50+ wins. Like past years, the Suns will struggle against the superstar teams and good defensive teams with an interior post presence, but should very, very, very consistently beat the bad to mediocre teams or good teams with no post presence. The main problem last year was all those distractions, injuries and conflicting styles of play made us lose a good 5-6 games against bad teams that in previous years we just would have simply outrun.

This year I don't see that being a problem, so while we obviously wont be able to keep the current win percentage going, I don't see us having a huge crash then comeback, and I definitely think that barring injury, the Suns will be above 500 after the first half, possibly even still maintaining a home court seed.

We have a 7 game home stand I think in March? The NBA Gods were not good to the suns this year.

Better to get the hard part of the schedule done early. We're holding up well so far. Summarizing what Channing Frye said, winning 8 out of every 10 is not bad at all.

I for one am not worried. Our next 8 games are all potentially winnable. I can only see us losing maybe one or two (TOR or Houston). No back to backs for the rest of November and plently of rest between games. In my opinion our next big test is Cleveland.

Going into that game I predict us with a record of 16-2(best case scenario), 14-4 (most likely), or 12-6 (worst case scenario). Any of those are respectable records in the west right now. Plus many of the teams that are supposed to be dominant are struggling to start the season as well so it takes some pressure off our backs.

I'm just excited to continue watching fun basketball .

one word that describes our early schedule "brutal"!!! so far so good, with the best record in the league at 9-2.

ESPN's player stats have a row of stats devoted to "3 Days+ Rest".

That row doesn't show up with Suns players.

A look at their calendar shows that the statistic will show up ... on February 10th (at home versus Portland). There are 4 days' rest before that game, and then the All-Star break.

Other games with 3+ days' rest:

March 12 LA @ PHX (5 days' rest! glee! They have 2 days' rest.)
March 26 NY @ PHX (3 days' rest, followed by 3 pairs of back-to-backs, naturally)

Yup. 2. Note that I used a Google calendar to determine this, so it might be wrong. But wow. It looks like half to three quarters of the other teams in the league has already played a game in which they had 3+ days' rest, and a few had two.
