Game Day Rituals

Post#1 » by Shuttlesworth » Sun Nov 29, 2009 7:47 am

What are your game day rituals when you watch Suns games? For many of us it is a sacred event.

I'll usually wear my Black and White Suns Jersey as seen in the pic below but its not me. I let a friend of mine wear this jersey to a game, he happens to post on here too... hmm yes.

Anyways I'll rock the jersey to work on Friday's if there's a game on that day.

I've always got a fridge full of beer and a couple buddies over to watch the game on my overrated Best Buy special 42" flatscreen. It's a real feel good type atmosphere (no homo) unless we lose.

So, what do you do on Game Day?

When game day comes around, first I jizz in my pants

JK

Well the games are a bit late here on the East Coast so I usually get home from work, play some 2k10 to get hyped up, and then order food and eat/watch the game with my girlfriend. Usually just a pretty relaxing game night.

If the game is on a weekend I will go hit a bar that of course has a TV with some friends and see where the night goes from there. If it's a win that can be a pretty crazy night, blowouts I will usually head home not too late. Not that I let the Suns control my life or anything :)

this is a good topic

usually during game days ill rock my nash authentic to school/work whatever but since its been cold outside i havent been doing that much this season.

i do wear the jersey during the game no matter where i am, i have my cheap suns jersey at my parents house just incase i forget the Nash one back in tucson, so during the game im always wearing my suns jersey.

lastly, this is kinda weird that i started doing about 4-5 years ago and do it during EVERY single game. if its at U.S Airways center, or home or bar or whatever i always stand until the suns make their first baskets in the first and 4th qt... idk how i came up with it or whatever but i do it EVERY SINGLE GAME :) kinda been known for it... for example if im in the living room standing and my roommate comes over he usually says to me "damn they havent scored yet?"

oh yeah and then usually if i dont have early morning stuff ill have my beer too!

I've never managed to find a ritual that worked, other than discouraging Tastic from watching/attending/thinking about games.

then again... bloody mary's are perfectly acceptable in the morning...

Up here in Canadaland not many are diehard NBA fans so hard to find a bar showing a PHX game instead of whatever else is on (Hockey, football, curling ... tiddldywinks)
So I am here at the computer hoping LP doesn't screw up, watching the game with you all - which is pretty cool. Nice to make friends with people around the world all in to the one thing, and have it not be some weird kind of porn.

I usually wear my Suns white patent Adidas for three years ago. They are never worn outside except sometimes at the gym.

I really want one of those black and white Suns jerseys. Where you find it?
