With Barbosa out for possibly 2 weeks is anyone else worried

About where the Suns scoring will come from off the bench?
Barbosa was the best score off the bench and even though he was having a down season so far this year he could put up quick points but with a bench of Dudley, Amundson, Dragic, Lopez, etc where exactly is the scoring going to come from when the starters are out of the game?

TIme for our boy Dragic to step it up. I can see him averaging 10-12 pts/game while Barbosa is out.

no different to the first 2 games of the year when Jrich was out - our bench was scary thin at that point
'
i would suspect Jrich will play more minutes and we will see a little more dudley
we may drop a game here or there that we wouldnt have without him, but hey, thats the NBA

Nash will likely play a few more min per game, as will Amare and J Rich to accomodate for the lack of scoring off the bench with Barbosa sidelined. It will hurt when the started dont have it going. Barbosa always seems to have big nights when someone from the first 5 is having an off night.
Am I worried? No not really. Do I think it hurts us? Yes I do.

to be fair, barbosas best game of the year was probably the one he got injured in
besides that game, barbs has only scored more than 11 points 3 times this year, and 2 of them were the first 2 games of the year when he was a starter
in fact he is averaging his lowest points in 5 years and also the second lowest minutes of his career - the Jrich trade has really chewed up his court time
Perhaps we may see more of Dragic at SG? gentry tried that Dragic Nash combo the other day for a while and it worked well

I personally am down with Dragic playing the combo guard. Give him like 5 more minutes a game. J-rich will probably play about 5 more a game too. I think we might see Dudley playing the 2 with Clark at the 3 for 5 more minutes for each of them as well... or maybe Hill will pick up a few extra minutes or something.
I think we'll be fine. I think everyone can pick up the scoring, which has been like 12 points a game, just fine.

I like Dragic at the 2 as well, and if we flop that scenario it gives Nash a chance to be a shooter. Like he needs help ...
what may hurt is that if we do fine without barbs he may really become expendable ...

I'm not worried one bit. Its full steam ahead.
Only thing that worries me is playing contenders on b2b games without rest or prep.

Hey if Suns were smart they'd trade LB alongside Tucker and Griffin for Courtney Lee, Keyon Dooling, and expiring contract Jarvis Hayes who you can waive or buyout.
That will not only save you money, but will give you a solid punch of the bench by 2 somewhat proven players (Lee and Dooling) while giving you much needed guard depth, versatility, and defense.
Considering Nets are self-destructing right now at 0-17, they'd probably do this deal in no time - maybe even throw in a late first round pick or something.

amare/lou/clark
hill/jared/clark
rich/lee/dooling
nash/drag/dooling

Argh...NJ has a lot of intriguing pieces
They'd have to seriously look at
Dooling, Hayes, SWilliams, CLee
for
Barbosa, Tucker, Griffin...
I wouldn't do it right now, messing with chemistry is asking for trouble, especially a guy so loyal and likeable as Barbosa

I don't think I would, simply because Barbosa's such a tough kid and he bleeds purple and orange. Lee's no slouch, but he'll most likely ask for more money than Barbs is worth right now

yeah bad time to be injured, got a though schedule coming up. I expect the record to dip a bit..but the Suns should come out nd play with energy nd enthusiasm in every single game.
